Cowgirls vs Raiderettes

Both of these teams are light years from winning things. They have had undisciplined cultures for years. Back to back drive sustaining penalties by the cowboys followed by a guy not picking up the rolling punt before it gets to the end zone. It was funny as hell that the commentator called Jacoby Ford Jacoby Jones after he dropped a wide open pass lol.

Right after I type that Dallas is offsides on a field goal attempt. Move it 5 yards closer and they shank the kick. These teams are in midseason form.

Terrelle Pryor didn't look too bad considering he hasn't played in over a year. Still has a lot of work to do, but he could turn into a decent QB if things work out. WR Streater for the Raiders looked good, but Jacoby Ford looked bad. The defensive lineman Hamilton, for the Plowboys also looked pretty good.

Tyrone Smith is a beast. The rest is meh at best.

I agree that Tyron Smith looks good. Hopefully by the time I make the trip on the 25th the team will look competitve. Is that about dress rehearsal time?

Whoa, Teddy Williams never played college football, but a sprinter that ran against Bolt!

and did Matt and Brisles do thats all i care about????

i know it might be hard to watch a Guard tho LOL

Clearly the worst game I've seen of all the week 1 games so far. The Girls oline missing assignments and just flat out sucking. I thought Callahan was supposed to be THE guru when it came to olines?

The Raiders WRs were horrible. However, I do think the Raiders will be a great running team if McFadden stays healthy.

*Again, the replay of every turnover is ridiculous. Why can't the booth review like TDs?

No excuses but there were 14 injured players...9 starters...missing from the Boys with one being center and some other big names on O. Still sloppy and that is what has doomed them the last few years...discipline and sloppiness...hand and hand,.

Sounds like coaching is the issue, sloppiness tends to be a symptom of it. I have never thought highly of Jason Garrett, but if they don't make the playoffs this year, he will be one of the worst coaches in the NFL. Plenty of talent on the roster, but not enough brains to put it together. You guys should go after Bill Cowher or something.

Bill Cowher would NEVER work for Jerry Jones.

Garrett is an intellecual coach. He has the brains, perhaps he lacks in balls and personality though.

Norv Turner, Eric Mangini, Wade Phillips, and Charlie Weis are good examples of that kind of coach.

Honestly, I thought coaching awhile back too under Wade and even last year but I think Garrett has his head on straight. I think it is the type of guy they have brought in. The last few drafts have tried to correct it with guys like Sean Lee but overall I think they just had a lot of players who thought it was cool to have the star on their helmet but were lazy. This took away from guys like Witten, etc, As a lifelong Cowboy fan I always had optimism about talented teams...70s, 90s teams, etc. But with the last few years I see talent, but I don't see the commitment or guys who I'd call leaders as much so it seems the talent is wasted when they lose games after getting big leads or by making dumb penalties.

I think has has the intellect but not the leadership. I will contrast it with Kubiak who people frequently want to put into an OC role instead of HC. Thing is Kubiak's players play hard for him. The defense sucking until last year still falls on him as a buck stops here thing but I don't think the predominant cause was lack of effort - more bad combination of players with poor scheming and not planning to make the two meet.

You should probably read that whole line at once instead of just the fragment. I'm not saying Jason Garret is an idiot, I'm saying he has no idea how to take that great talent and put it together as a coach. It's great if he knows his X's and O's, but if he can't make that translate into wins then he's useless.

I think the problem with the Cowboys really goes back to Jerry Jones. Jerry Jones plays the part of General Manager as well as owner. The only coach who ever had the power of general manager was Jimmy Johnson.
Jerry Jones thinks he is a good gm. Well he is not. He is terrible.

I actually feel sorry for Cowboy fans having to put up with Jerry Jones.
Thank god Bob McNair is not a gm either. He knows better.

I don't think Jerry Jones will ever give up his role as gm to anyone else ever again until he dies.
So Cowboy fans will have to wait until Jerry dies to get a new gm....I hope Jerry lives a long time in that case......lmfao......:gotexans1:texan::fans:
