New Orleans Road Game

Dr2bKay

Rookie
Anyone else going?

I have my hotel booked (Intercontinental) and just purchased my tickets from stub hub. Last year, we rocked New Orleans from the pregame fun, to the St. Arnold tailgate, and more. Texans fans were everywhere. I hope more will come this year.

We are going to be there. Ordered my tickets this week. We will be staying in the French Quarter. Leaving Friday afternoon.

The wife and some friends and I are going. We haven't booked the hotel yet but we are looking at the intercontinental as well. Sitting in section 111 row 3. Looking for other fans to pregame or tailgate with. Leaving Friday morning, this will be my wife and my buddies GF's first trip to NO.

I will be sitting in section 107 row 1 and some other pals are sitting in section 101 also row 1.

I dunno............. I think JB is "quarterbacking" this year's trip for DRS, Gibbs, Ronny, (and hopefully Corrosion) and two dear friends from up in Shreveport. Not to mention that I'm sure Joe will make it (Dude, no faceplants in front of the cemetary please)..

All that said, I have to talk to Mitch about hooking up with Glen (A Saints fan that took really good care of us last year) to see if he would be willing to do the same this year.....

As an aside... EFF "The Dungeon"!!! AND I totally remember Joe Texan doing a faceplant in front of the cemetary!!

#NOLA Good Times!!!!

Myself and 3 buddies will be heading to that game. We arranged a suite at the Rennassiance by Marriott. Tickets are section 127 row 3. Last year we wore battle red jerseys however since we all picked up new Nike jerseys today at camp I think we'll be wearing those. We plan on leaving Friday as well.

For hose of us going Friday what are your plans Friday night? Bourbon? I think we are thinking of losing some money at harrahs.

If folks have cars, I will invite you to a pal's bar. Da Pope's. I know that at some point on Friday night I will be there sipping on whiskey.

BTW, we're thinking about it. Since it is a night game we would probably try to arrange the party actually on game day.

Don't forget to join the Facebook group so we can plan a bar takeover!

Oh yea!!! Friday night at Da Pope and Saturday on Bourbon pre and post game :-) :kitten:

FYI, I am having a b-day party brunch on Sunday at the InterContinental if any are interested.

About 80% chance we're going.

I'm getting the 411 for Saturday - finding a good spot.

I don't plan on much post game partying, too old, but we'll plan something :)

Not sure what time we're leaving Sunday.

If my friends Mitch and Vicki make it down from Shreveport, we don't need "a bar" to congregate. We'll need a place to meet up to where Mitch can find bar owner "Glen" (forget the name of his bar in the quarter), but he led us from his place to every cool bar between his and the Superdome. Poor guy is a Saints fan, but led 20 Texans fans through the quarter like the Pied Piper.

It was freakin' awesome!!

Although, I'm not sure if I should blame Glen or not for "The Dungeon" after the game simply because, I don't remember. Somehow though, I still remember Joe's faceplant near the cemetary.

No, it wasn't you quarterbacking this thing this year. It's Gibbs. BTW, we need to know if the wifey is coming.

Also, he's thinking about the same hotel as last year. The "Keegan" I think, or something like that. Granted, we needed a short taxi ride to the Quarter, but I thought it worked out pretty well... What say you???

*EDIT*

EFF The Dungeon!!! :texanbill:

Might be Glenn Allen - if he was friends with Joe and/or Ted. Already messaged him :)

Maybe.. I don't know that Ted met Glenn, but for sure Joe did. Glen was the coolest. Again, he led a bunch of Texans fans all wearing jerseys and such while he was sporting his Saints gear.. His GF was really cool in the same regard! It was a pretty awesome site!

JB... We need a head count pretty quick... Are you bringing the wifey? Daughter(s)?? Corrosion/Rob????

We need to know this.......... NOW!!!!

Gibbs is trying to QB this thing!!

STEP UP and answer - EFFERS!!!!

Also note that there are two locations and the other one more commonly shows up in web searches. So make sure to go to the Bourbon Street one.

/just notice this when putting my blog post on this together.

I am sooo pumped about tonight! Can't wait to hit the road in a few hours. I hope to see people out late on Bourbon Street tonight.

Josh, I will hit you up about the tailgate via text.

Where will you guys be parking? Any lesser known cheap spots? I see a lot of expensive parking on the SuperDome parking map. Also we don't really know which places are safe and lit with lots of people.

Personally, we will be parking at the hotel and walking all day tomorrow..from bourbon to the stadium.

We'll be doing the same thing. Last night I was charged 45 bucks for the weekend to park my car at the hotel, so best believe we'll be walking all day. Luckily we already looked at our routes, and our hotel to Bourbon is only 1.2 miles, and then the walk to the Superdome isn't too bad. For those of you driving down St. Joseph st, our room is the one with the giant Texan's flag hanging in the window.

Geaux Texans!
