Texans reach agreement with guard Brandon Brooks

FOX 26 Sports has learned the Houston Texans reached a contract agreement with guard Brandon Brooks, the team's second pick in the third round (76th overall) from Miami (Ohio).

NFL sources told FOX 26 Brooks agreed to a four-year contract worth $2.8 million.

With Brooks under contract, Rick Smith, Texans executive vice president/general manager and Chris Olsen, vice president, football administration, have completed all of the negotiations with the teams' draft picks.

Rick Smith always tries to get the rookies signed before training camp so they can concentrate on football......Now he can start working on resigning Brown, Schaub, Barwin.....
