A few random observations

1) his son must take after his mother because he doesn't really look like David

2) Doesn't he play for the Giants now? Looks like his son has on a panthers cap...Is that a recent picture?

Would be kind of awkward for him to be walking around Giants camp with a panthers hat on.

I could have sworn he re-signed with the Giants this off-season...

One day after the Jets made Tim Tebow the most famous backup quarterback in the N.F.L., the Giants also addressed their reserve quarterback situation - with significantly less fanfare.

There were no day-long vigils or late-night conference calls, and sales of David Carr jerseys are not expected to skyrocket in the coming week. Still, the Giants’ re-signing of Carr, who has been Eli Manning’s backup in three of the past four seasons, was significant; he is the Giants’ safety net.

“I feel really comfortable here,” Carr said in the Giants’ news release announcing the signing. “I know that if given the opportunity and put in the position to play on this team, I would do well.”

Carr, a former No. 1 draft pick by the Houston Texans, did not play in any of the Giants’ regular-season or playoff games last season, but teammates and coaches do not hesitate to praise his value. Carr works primarily with the scout team during game weeks, and is adept at simulating the opponent’s offense, regardless of what style the opposing quarterback employs. Carr is also an integral part of the quarterbacks’ positional meetings.

Carr has a ring as a backup QB with the Giants after the 2011 season.

This has to be a really old picture (around 2007).
