Texans vs Bungles next week in Wild Card Playoff

Thorn

Dirty Old Man
Only the Bengals, Titans and Raiders remain eligable for the 6th seed. With the Chargers beating down on the Raiders, that would eliminate the Raiders and Titans. Which means we get the Bengals next week.

So, who's the QB for the Texans I wonder. Delhome or TJ? TJ beat the Bengals at their place in a very meaningful game for both teams.

I like this matchup for us. Rookie QB vs Rookie QB. Both teams coming off a loss, so no clear momentum on either side. Not to mention we already beat them in Cincy not too long ago.

TJ, no question. Next.

Much scarier than the Titans. AJ Green beat JJo a bunch of times. Benson ran wild in the 1st half but was slowed in 2nd.

It took a crazy 3rd and 17 scramble by Yates to sneak out a win.

We beat the Jags twice and the Bengals once. You know what than means don't you? All Cats get trampled by the Bull.

Doesn't scare me. This is in OUR house, not up in classless, vacant stadium Cincyville.

I'm good to go. I bet the players are too. As of right now, we playin' in the playoffs and 10 other AFC teams, 3 of which are AFC South teams, are not. We are, they're not.

That feels good. We might lose, anything is possible, but WE have life with a playoff game. Lots of others do not.

Reliant will be crazy loud. And let any Bengals fan come down from Cincy and just try to be a punk at Reliant next week. The boot is on the other foot now.

Go Texans!

This is where I am going to like the 'both teams get the ball' in playoff overtime. I think it will be a close game.

Lets take this thang one game at a time. Andre is back also and this time it's in our place. Our defense is something special at home (well...except the last two home games. One without Wade calling the plays and the other we didn't care about winning) Foster willl be back, Daniels...

I'm expecting a win, this time I hope it doesn't come down to the last play.

Nice game. Neither team has a lot of playoff background in the last years, both teams have a rookie QB - we beat them at a nailbiter in their house.

Don`t get me wrong, this will be a very tough game - but we have a real chance to advance. Let`s get us some magic back and win our first playoff game!

There's a lot in our favor, IMO. Homefield advantage, Andre will be playing this time, and we got many of our key starters some much needed rest.

Hopefully Joseph can contain Green. Gotta take care of the ball. Remember, Dalton is poised but he TOO is a rookie so we'll see some sketchy QB play I'm sure.

Gonna be a runners' game. Something in the teens.

This is a winnable game for sure. Couldn't say as much about us traveling to Baltimore the following week, but we CAN be the Bengals.

It will be a tough game but it is definitely winnable for the Texans. A week from now will be the Texans first ever playoff game. Win or lose it will be the biggest game in franchise history.

NFLN has "Texans QB issues" up on their board to talk about in a few minutes. Just in case anyone cares.

Funny to say this in the midst of a 3 game losing streak and waiting to see if our 3rd or 4th string QB will be starting, but:

Things line up reasonably well for us to possibly host a championship game.

1st- We have to beat Cincy which I think we will. With home field going ballistic and the team rather healthy and jazzed, I don't think Cincy is the type of team to overcome that.

2nd- We have to figure out a way to upset Baltimore in Baltimore. Not likely- but the Ravens do have holes. Tough to figure out how Yates goes in there and wins but stranger things have happened.

3rd- After Pittsburgh demolishes Denver next weekend, they need to go into New England and beat the Patriots. I think this will happen.

Wouldn't that be wild?! Oh well, back to reality and figuring out how to contain my excitement until Saturday.

We beat Baltimore last time we played as far as I'm concerned. If the Colts game didn't happen, the Baltimore game would have been by FAR the worst officiated game I watched all season.

Held them to five field goals, didn't have Andre, defense was stacking the box, held Rice in check until the 4th, which was when our D was worn down via our sloppy no-Andre offense not staying on the field.

I'm not scared of Baltimore. Not saying it will be a cakewalk. It will be a tough ass game. But neither Baltimore, Pittsburgh, OR New England are some sort of infallible fortress entity this year.

I'm not scared of any of these teams. The entire league is WIDE open this year.

Tony Dungy and group just predicted a Cincy win against us. What do they know? Said we aren't playing well and Bengals should have a fairly easy time.

Dungy and another guy on NBC pregame show, just now, said the Texans have lots of problems on defense...look shaky...and that the Bengals should win.

It's as if they didn't realize we played 2nd and 3rd stringers on BOTH sides of the ball.

These guys on TV stage sets, they're not even analyzing things. Texans lost today, so that means Bengals will win.

Amazing.

Dungy and Harrison hate us, every week they find a way to disrespect us, all season long

Why do some of you keep saying the game is on Saturday? The date and time has not been announced yet so how can anyone say that?

Let em talk.

I like what Deion had to say though. Was saying that Andre changes a lot and the team still has one of the best defenses. Deion actually was saying the whole time leading up to the next game that the Texans don't need a bye.

Everyone is going to pick against us because we have a 3 game losing streak.
