I'm thinking something along the lines of:

"I know I took some heat for saying the Texans were better off without Leinart. I need to apologize for that. I meant to say that the Texans would be EXTREMELY better off without Matt Leinart, and that TJ Yates is the shiznit, for rizzle dizzle. Can I say that on the Internet? I can't? Oh. Screw it, I'm just so happy that I nailed a prediction that I'm going to get high on salvia and strip down to my boxers and give a lap dance to Jamie Dukes on NFLN tonight. I mean it. I can almost bet it was something just like that, I am paraphrasing obviously.

I can't even bring myself to watch it. Lombardi is a front runner of reporters. Like a nationally televised version of John McClain.
 
Lombardi should preface every comment with "I never played the game".
