I will say, it seemed ROCKING there today. and they got loud when they needed too and quiet when it was right.

I was impressed ,for once.

the fans were great today. we actually stayed (relatively) quiet on offense. on defense they were loud throughout, but in the 4th quarter the tv cameras were shaking and the announcers were yelling just to be heard.

I opened the door here in SA and heard yall. I have been critical of the fans at Reliant in the past but yall brought it today....Imagine if there is a home playoff game...bring ear plugs
Ps did yall hear me scream when fox yanked the game at 08 left in the game...just wondering.

Remember that Saints fan that said Reliant is filled with nothing but business suits and golf claps

I think the fans today were actually a significant factor in the win. ATL kept running the clock down and the crowd definitely interfered with their playcalls.

According to some of the players

Smitty74allday Wade Smith
Today was the LOUDEST I've ever heard a stadium be in my 9 years in the NFL: Major props 2 the #TexansFans today that had #Reliant ROCKING!!

#BULLSONPARADE is official...and they need to start calling Reliant the #slaughterhouse bc it was so f'in loud in there today!!!

S/O to our great fans!! Reliant has never rocked like that before! Keep it up. #HomefieldAdvantage

Nice to see the crowed come through, they seemed loud on TV too

I'm pretty convinced we had a big part in that first interception by Matt Ryan. I just straight up don't think the WR knew what route he was supposed to run.

'Twas great.

They were interviewing Antonio Smith on the radio after the game, and he said the guards for Atlanta were yelling out the run play at times because they couldn't hear. Great job by the crowd. The announcers on TV talked about how loud it was a couple of times.

One of the loudest games...ever.

I'm positive that was the loudest game I've ever been to. I've been going since 2006.

Antonio Smith was on 610 saying it was so loud that the guards were having to call the plays out at the line because they couldn't hear Matt Ryan.

It was Awesome, play-offs, that place is going to be deafening.

Matt Ryan missed two or three WRs down the field even though they were wide the F open.

Jjo & Kareem Jackson play at the line, jamming the receivers was the reason for all that. They couldn't get off the line clean & Matt thought they would be further down the field than they were.

It was a playoff atmosphere all day long inside Reliant today. It was loud on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down for the Falcons offense from the 1st quarter through the 4th quarter.

Great job by the fans today! I could feel how loud it probably was in the stadium and the commentators mentioned the noise throughout the game. Let's keep this up fans and I can't wait to see what Reliant will be like in our first playoff game!

Loudest for me was the very first game against the Cowboys. There wasn't an empty seat and it was incredible.

Today had more open seats than I expected but was much louder than what I remembered at that first game.

It was AWESOME.

What was killing me was that when the defense motioned for more noise from the crowd, you could hear the volume go up noticeably. The fans get my game ball today. :trophy:

The house was rocking today!

There were moments that the camera was shaking! That is how loud it was and that was just from watching the game on tv! I would have killed to be there!

It's all good....... Well except for the "I was impressed ,for once." blast :foottap:

 Wolf!

Yeah, when Ryan started all the audibles it went to 11 every time. 4th quarter they may as well be lighting gigantic strands of black cats, no one would know the difference!!

5 hours after the game, my ears are still ringing and voice is of course, shot to hell.

It was loud when the Falcons no-huddled and got to the line, but when Ryan started walking up and down the line trying to get everyone on the same page, we cranked it up to some notches I never knew existed. The freaking stands were shaking where I was.

From beginning to end it great to the fans disrupt Atl. I loved seeing that on tv. It was truly a home field advantage that overcame the opponents and the sorry ass refs.

It was unbelievable! I haven't been to all of em, but I've been to about 50 Texans games, and that was the best and loudest crowd I've been a part of.

Hah, what cracked me up was when Ryan made arm flapping motions like he was trying to get the crowd to quiet down. Of course, it had quite the opposite effect. :fans:

HT.com has a video with a few guys talking about how great the crowd was, including a "that's the loudest i've ever heard it in any arena". it really was a big part of the game. several false starts (including a couple not called) and a pair of delay of game penalties go directly to the fans ... some in key situations.

Those of you who are too young to know about Houston and The Astrodome, you have no idea how loud a Houston crowd can get at a football game. This was nostalgic to me today!!!!

Reminded me of the Baltimore Monday Night game last year when Andre caught the game tying TD, place went absolutely nuts. I couldn't even hear the guy next to me talking....

thank U thank U we try ....... " smiles" lets keep it up we got a tough one in two week when CAMMMMMMMMM newton comes 2 town

I have no voice this morning, But it was worth it!!!! I have never see reliant that loud.

It was Electric and you could actully feel vibrations in the Bull Pen. I felt like we could hold our own to any 12th man in any stadium.

I want to also give some kudos to the fans. Watching here in ATX made me real proud cause y'all were loud!:bravo:

All i can say is wow! It was just awesome, electric yesterday... Voices were going out, the backs of seats were getting beat to hell, man!

As a couple of posters have mentioned, it was already loud, but when the D would ask for more, or Ryan would audible the noise actually went up another level... Just insane! Glad to be a part of it... It makes me want to live in Houston so i could go more...

Oh, and Bobby: weld that damn roof shut! No need for it to ever be opened again... Keep all of that energy bottled inside of that joint!

I disagree. It may have been the second loudest crowd at Reliant.. Signed, September 8th, 2002.

The announcers kept commenting on the crowd.

I remember when NO became a solid team the last couple of years it seems like the Superdome increase by about 10 decibels. Success seems to help even the most die hard fans!!!

i have to give the fans props too. i give/gave them crap about the generally relaxed atmosphere at many home games and about the late arrivals/early leaving & wave.

it was really, really loud yesterday. btw i dont know why the falcons insist on having ryan audible every snap in away stadiums. its the biggest hype up you can give the home teams fans because they know they can make a big difference. plus look at the offensive production & balance- ryan isnt very good at audibles

Every player interview I've seen, and Kubes too, talked about the crowd noise & home field atmosphere --- and what a big role it played.

To those who attended, my hat is off to you! :tiphat:

Anyone else see how pumped up Connor was when they played Rage?

They said this morning that Ryan kep having to lean into his line nd SCREAM his audibles several times and that is why our D was leaning in, because they could hear the calls clear as day he was having to yell them so loud.

Probably didn't give us an advntage but gave Atl a disdvantage because they kept having to change their termingology in-game and that's one more thing they had to think about.

I honestly think the bad calls made it even louder. Nobody dozes off when you choke a call in front of 70K.

Yep, 80 yards away and I still saw the Falcons Rt. Guard leave early a few times.

I'll be re-growing my throat over the next several days. We were exhausted when we got home last night, but it was worth it!

I disagree. It may have been the second loudest crowd at Reliant.. Signed, September 8th, 2002.
The single loudest moment may have been in 2002 (or the tying TD against Baltimore last year), but that game was NOT as loud throughout. that's the first time I can honestly say it hit deafening levels all 4 quarters.

You guys rocked! I have never been prouder of Houston football fans than I was yesterday. Y'all were truly a 12th man for our D, and did a fantastic job of giving us a real homefield advantage!

Love all of y'all!! :texflag: :fans:

Vandermeer noted this morning that he has his producer crank up the speakers is his headset so he can hear himself & discussions during the game. Yesterday vs. Atlanta, his headset was cranked up again and he couldn't hear himself - he had to hope he was coming across well on the radio.

Good job fans. Came across well on the tv - loud as heck on defense and ultra quiet on offense.

That was the absolute loudest game I have ever been to yesterday. I heard several announcers say "it was a college atmosphere yesterday" today.

I was there. I asked everyone around me what was there deal.

They said they weren't going to get a chance to the wave...

Seriously though I had a lot of fun and it was great yesterday. The best part was seeing Toro take his time out the game to take pictures with a special needs child. It was really awesome.
