Al's Ghost haunted Relaint & the Texans all day! He made Vickers drop a potential TD pass & made Jacoby run piss poor passing routes the whole game............Oh wait!:toropalm:
 
Well our OL collapsed. They rushed 4 players against our 5 linemen and dominated. Plus add Schaub back there. So the Raiders dropped 6 into coverage and we had 5 'receivers'. Raiders stepped up big.

This is not the time to stay with the script, not when you know you have an advantage over the D.

On the play just before that, Schaub had scrambled to his right to extend the play. That was without the Raiders messing up on their personnel.
If Schaub can't do it on this play, he's not going to go very far in this league.

Eleven on ten and you let the D dictate the action?

There was also a double-team of Myers and Brisiel on the LDT.

If Schaub rolls right and the SDE goes wide with him, Wisnton would have stepped wider as well.
Schaub can then scramble up the C gap just like the play before when he completed the 34yd pass to Dreessen on 3rd and 23.

And this would be my latest response to ICAK:

Obviously, Kubiak could use any help he can get.
Going back from the years before until now, it certainly looks like he can use a QC (quality control) kind of guy; one of his assistant coaches would do.

First off, the Texans need to know these situations so they can take advantage of them.
Only when they know the situation can they relate it to the guys on the field.

For example, on a play earlier when the Raiders played with 12 men on the field on defense. Brisiel, however, committed a face-mask penalty trying to protect Schaub on the free play. Lost opportunity!

Now if the Texan knew that the Raiders were playing with 10 men the field on this last play, they could have had Schaub audible a play to take advantage of the situation. If the play failed, it's still a free play. There should be a new down right there!

Painfully, Kubiak was touting at the presser that the Texans had the play they wanted, but the Raiders flushed Schaub away from it.

Perhaps he knew it (the mishap) after watching film, but wanted to avoid discussing about it with the media (no transparency).

The HC needs to pay attention to as much details as he can in order to become a better coach. Those who don't tend to lament of some games lost with excuses.
My suggestion to Kubiak is that he needs to pay a lot of attention to the details!

The day after Raiders owner Al Davis died, his team clinched a victory over the Texans by thwarting the Texans from the doorstep of the end zone on the final play of the game, as safety Michael Huff intercepted Houston quarterback Matt Schaub in the end zone.

In what was a fitting, albeit surely unintentional, missing-man formation tribute to Mr. Davis, the Raiders managed to keep the Texans from scoring with only 10 players on the field.

A reader tipped us off to the intriguing glitch earlier today, and we’ve pulled up the video of the game from the excellent Game Rewind service at NFL.com. It’s true — the Raiders had only 10 men on the field.

And so just when it looked like a moment couldn’t have gotten any more perfect, it has.
 
You could make an argument that since we had Jacoby Jones out there and he won't grow up the Texans only had ten men on the field too.
 
Isn't this something that was brought to our attention a couple days ago? We needed an entire thread to rub it in a little more, I see

Schaub made an ill advised throw, yes. He and Jacoby were not on the same page. It looked to me as though Jacoby came toward him and Schaub thought he was going to box the DB out. As soon as Schaub starting throwing it, Jacoby vacated that spot and went backwards, allowing the DB to continue forward to intercept the pass.

The biggest thing on this play was our OL - the pressure the defense got was amazing. The Raiders only brought 4 players. Our 5 o-linemen couldn't handle a single one of them. So we had 6 Texans back there and 5 Receivers. The Raiders brought 4 and dropped 6.

I blame our O-line more than Schaub for that play. Plus the 6 Raiders that were in coverage defended the play really well.
 
If anything, the only thing I'd do different is send Foster in motion.

Now that I think about it, the play that got the TD vs. SD (the one that was nullified, ultimately costing us the game) last year would have been perfect here.
 
It was the Raiders' missing-man formation.

Good thing for the Raiders it happened when the defense was compressed, because with more field to work with I think it would have been more apparent someone was missing.
 
wow....this play just gets better and better. The Texans should start using "Yakety Sax" as their music. The theme for the Benny Hill show just seems fitting sometimes.
 
the guy simply can't play and Boobiak has too much
pride to cut that dead weight loose.

it was a retarded pick, just like most of them have
been in the Boobiak era.
