AJ dedication?

What if Texans were to dedicate this game to Andre Johnson? Classy thing to do and could counter any emotional play by Oakland's Al Davis death. Am I off here? Probably too late but I just thought of it.

No, It would be disrespectful and insulting.

Doesnt matter how much emotion the Raiders play with they just dont have the same amount of talent the Texans do. Either way Al would want both teams to play their hardest and just win baby!

agree let the raiders have their game for Davis, he was crazy but was still a very devoted owner and desrerves this game to be to him. It will def be an emotional game for the raiders and raiders nation. We as a fan base need to respect that.

I am thinking there will be a moment of silence for AL which is classy and expected. The whole win this 1 for AL thing is a little over blown.

Jeez, It's not like somebody killed your brother or wife and you want revenge here.

Yea he was the owner, but after the first few plays the emotions will settle and it will be back to just football. If they go on a nice drive to start that might play into it, but if we get a 3 and out or a quick td it will just be back to playing good ole foosball.

I agree with this. Let them win one in their stadium for Davis. Give a moment od silence, be respectful of the dead and what Davis meant to the NFL, then stomp a mudhole in their azz and walk it dry.

The Texans just need to understand the Raiders are going to want to make this a special game. They are a young team, younger than ours & they need to be able to learn to focus their emotions.

We need to make that difficult for them.

Al Davis may have gotten very strange in his old age (a lot of us do), but in his day he changed pro football. He should have his day for his team.

The Texans, if they are worthy, will beat them anyway.

either this or we could get someone in the FO to compare Al Davis to Hitler and Bob McNair to say....Benjamin Netanyahu perhaps. Either way, good thinking.

I'm having trouble coping with the fact that you seriously thought this could be a good idea.

I have a feeling that the Raiders will probably do something to honor Al at their place, while we'll probably just have a moment of silence.

Either way, I think our team has been burned by enough "trap" games that we know to come out. Kubes has really gotten the team to start strong this season.

NFL Network reported the entire NFL will dedicate a moment of silence to him across the games today.

and rightfully so. The man had a big impact on the NFL, regardless of if people liked him our not he deserves the respect we will show him sunday. I just hope that as soft as kubiak is we dont lay down for the raiders and give them this game.
