Seems like they have no faith in Darius Heyward bey lol

What you mean a guy who was drafted in the top 10 and has done nothing is a dissapointment?

I feel bad for the Raiders fan base, because at least our owner doesn't just draft the fastest guy at the combine every year.

Ah don't feel sorry, because that isn't always the case. Last year's 1st round pick was Rolondo McClain, and this year's 1st was traded for Richard Seymour a couple years ago. Not exactly speed guys. Now, later on in the draft Davis will go after players like Jacoby Ford and Taiwan Jones; he doesn't always go with the DHB picks in the first round. Besides, some of those burners create major mis-matches, like FB Reece (injured) out of the backfield being covered by a LB.

Now, if you want to feel sorry for Raider fans, feel sorry for the constant changing at the HC position. Jackson looks like he might stay for a few years, and that will provide stability the team hasn't had since Gruden.

Belechik is on record as saying Al Davis is basically the D coordinator for the Raiders. He may be losing it in his old age, but he's been a top notch NFL mind for a long, long time. LINK

He's not the DC, but he will demand that the DC he hires runs his system; the OC and HC have a lot more latitude, but if they can't get it done their way they soon hit the highway. Davis will give his coaches just enough rope to hang themselves with; however, as with Gruden, if you can show your way works he will let the HC do it his way.

Don't believe everything you hear about Davis from the media, they generally don't like him as he rarely gives interviews and looks down upon them. Collinsworth nailed it the other night when he said the media may get on Davis, but those who know football and know what is going on in the NFL really respect Al Davis.

It's allegorical, meaning that Davis has a very keen defensive mind and knows what he's talking about. Besides, the interview was talking about an interview from a long time ago. Sorry if I misled you on that part.
