Ok, now the explanation below the pic.....

Houston Texans linebacker Mario Williams (90) makes a catch past Indianapolis Colts linebacker Pat Angerer (51) on the first play from scrimmage during the first half of an NFL football game at Reliant Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, in Houston.

Hahaholy crap. I can't believe the Houston paper (whatever) did this. Chron, shame on your ass.

By the time this is read they might have corrected it, but dayum.

Just another reason why that worthless piece of crap newspaper will NOT grace my doorstep every morning!!

My sincere apologies to Steph, BUT, I truly HATE that newspaper!! DAMN, I miss the POST!!!:scarygirl:

Maybe the editor thinks all black guys look alike? How embarrasing.

What's next using a pic of the burning of the South American rain forest but captioning it with 'Texas wildfires still raging out of control'

It's the chronic. What do you expect? Unbiased editorial content, good sports reporting, accuracy and fairness? LOL. Good luck with that. I'm down to Sunday only delivery for the coupons. That liberal rag can suck my dic...tation. Yes, I have lots of dictation to do.:kitten:

LOL. :mariopalm: The Chron is a pretty worthless rag in general; this kind of thing is par for the course. Huzzah for the internet having eliminated the need to spend money on lame newspapers!

It's a long story, but I don't want anything to do with that paper. They send these randoms out door to door giving a 'whoa as me' type story to get you to buy. Then they try to screw you over when you cancel. I called directly and told them to never deliver to me again and to NEVER send their raggedy ass sales people to my address again.

I once had a subscription that was just Sunday only. I enjoyed sitting out on the patio, drinking coffee, and reading the Sunday morning paper. Then they started delivering it everyday, I told them to stop. They said it was just a free trial delivery. But it kept up, and I called them back like four times, and every goddamn time is was the same ****, it's just a free trial delivery but we'll stop it if you want us to.

Long story short, it never stopped, and it took me FIVE goddamn weeks to cancel my entire subscription. They just didn't want to quit throwing that damn rag at my door.

I hate them.

The Chron fired most of their copy editors a few years back to save money (a buddy was one of them).

Hence this crap happens. Its amazing how many errors there are in the sports section alone.

You 'mistake' Mario for Antonio Smith, not Andre Johnson. Just sayin'...

Looks like the weekend copy editor team is composed of the folks who couldn't get to the game (due to seniority) or don't care about football.

IMHO -That's actually worse than mistaking Rackers for Brown on a FG.

mario williams, the most versatile player in he nfl.

he really is worth the 14 mill.

Exactly. I think everyone is missing the point.

We should really all be thinking "Is there NOTHING Mario can't do?"

And to think that many of us (myself included) were not happy with the pick. Turns out he's literally our version of the Colts #18! Without him nothing works.
