Colts fans thoughts from the game

Here are some of the reactions from the Colts fans for those who didn't see'em... Just makes me happy reading it...:tiphat:

By some sort of Shakespearean irony, this is the one year I picked up NFL Sunday Ticket. :/

A punt....probably the best plays we will see from the offensive unit

Yes that too. Even if they do win, its all down hill for them after that. This being their SB and all

Without Manning it isn't their Super Bowl.

Manning will win league MVP every season until he retires from here on out. How can he not...

I'm going out on the limb early on this one...

Next week, we stay within 30 of the Browns!!!! You heard it here first!

Nice looking pass, the penalty is stupid but we will have to accept it. Stupid and puzzyfied!!

Pretty weak call, but who cares at this point.

Refs having mercy on us.

Bull**** call, but I will take it.

Oh no f'ing way. come on a FG, pathetic and OMG, funny and fitting to the game don't you think

kicking a ****ing FG????

Yeap. They should've kicked the FG in that situation. Go for the high percentage play.

Ha ha ha ha. Glad we went for a FG. Woohoo

Ok. This is actually getting funny.

I would say that the missed field goal puts an eclamation point on it but there is plenty of time for some more embarassment.

all I could think was: "Here comes the re-fumble."

Yea.....We didn't get shut-out.....

Yes. Collins threw one hell of a pass to Garcon, just really good D on that play. He can put it there for sure.

If we didn't have the worst coach of all time we might be able to gut out 4 wins...

I kind of get the feeling Houston called off the dogs.

Clark is a horrible blocker and the coach sucks for exposing him.

Now there was the exclamation point for me, Clark blocking Williams one on one.

It is only one game. Really only one half! But Colts without #18 proved to be a junior high team playing professionals

With #18, we might have still lost this game but it would have been close & #18 although doesn't play defense or special teams, gives them some rest & energy by scoring points early. He also gives confidence to everyone else that we can win the game. With him not there & Once Texans went up 17-0, with two fumbles and short field, the air was left out of everyone but perhaps Reggie Wayne

All that said, the simple answer is

Because #18 is what made Colts win 10 or more games for time immemroial. If he had a real team around him he would have won 5 SBs by now .

hoosierguy says he is done for the year, and has other hobbies. So with this team looking at a very long season, will you still watch?

we have the worst front office, coaching staff, and team in football. Life is too short to get emotionally invested in a terrible product

I'm a fan of the team...i'll watch the assholes...win or lose.

Of course I will, I was a fan of much worse Colts teams. Hoosierguy is just a pathetic bandwagon fan. Makes us all look bad. Can we smack shack him Smitty?.

I will turn it on

but if Manning doesn't run out there on the first series, I am going to turn it off

I always wanted to be a bandwagon jumper and this may be the best opportunity that ever existed

Regretably the only aggression I saw all day was at the end when Williams pancaked Collins- Garcon came flying in and was trying to pull some people off his guy while Saturday got busy getting the ball. Kudos to them for having some fire.

:runaway:

In a weird way losing Manning may be the best thing to happen to the Colts. It will give them a chance to learn how to play the game as a team, others will have to step up, and they can quit relying on Manning so heavily. Collectively the rest of the team will now have to man up or quit.

And hopefully the latter... well as long as they don't get Luck-y. :kitten:

Gonna be a long season trying to pick out bright spots. Admiring punts is not what I'm used to...

I remember feeling pretty damn good about Turk's booming punts back in the day.

LOL- it wouldn't be the Colts defense if there wasn't at least one missed tackle on every play.

Those days were not far behind us.

You know, the thing that puzzles me is why Manning didn't travel with the team. He could have been a coach on the sidelines for Collins.
If you're in active does that mean you can't roam the sidelines or that you just can't dress out?

yea why did the guy not walk out of the recovery room from a serious neck surgery performed just two days ago to be a cheerleader on the sidelines. :vincepalm:

He had more neck surgery on Thursday. I hope for his sake they wouldn't allow him to watch the game, cause if he did, it probably set his recovery back by 2 weeks. During the game, I figured he was bursting an aneurysm wherever he was.

Colts aren't a good team without #18? Whatever happened to all the talk about how this is such a great organization that does such a tremendous job of building through the draft?

I'm sorry but The Texans flat out beat a good team. Were they hurting in one most important area? Yes. But this now makes two games (and you can even argue our second game last year if Kubiak tries to run the ball more) where the Texans have controlled the line of scrimmage on one or both sides of the ball.

It is only one game though, and my feelings are that The Texans have better have this division wrapped up by the next time we play Indy!

Do the Colts have the same posters as the Texans cus I swear I have read those exact same things on this board about our team.

the proverbial tables have turned. Disappointed fans all sound alike, regardless of team.

I'll never understand why the Colts management never made any preparations for life after Manning. He's played in the league what for 13-14 seasons? The Colts should have drafted a QB to step in when Manning steps down.

Curtis Painter? 38 year old Kerry Collins with 2 weeks in the Colts organization? Dan Orloskvy?

Did they think #18 would last forever?

That was the point of the quotes I posted. To be honest, I felt right at home reading their gameday thread. I was so comfortable that I forgot that I was in the Colts forum. I understand. I totally get it. I feel for them. I wish them no ill but its also a nice feeling to have a bright future for a change.

Go Texans.

All elite teams eventually take a nose dive! We'll do the same, IF/WHEN we become an elite team! Good players (esp QBs) don't last forever, and finding replacements don't come easy anymore. Just look at how long the Niners have suffered since the Montana/Young days, Dallas without Aikman, Miami without Moreno, Bills without Kelly. The list could go on, I'm just to lazy to look it up. The Pats days will be over when Brady becomes history. Such is life in the game of football! EVERY draft pick is a shot in the dark, and only fools place all their money on one player! The Colts are fools!!! JMO!

knowshon moreno?

:sarcasm:

Without Manning the Indianapolis Colts go back to being the Indianapolis Colts that most of us grew up with.

Yeah. Damn those Johnny Unitas days!

No, I am not that old. I said Indianapolis not Baltimore Colts, even though the Baltimore Colts that I remember were not that good. I was more thinking of the Sean Salisbury, Jim Harbaugh, Jeff George, etc days.

Since Johnny U hung up his cleats the colts have had maybe 4-5 winning seasons until Peyton showed up. They will go back to being the streaming pile of suck once Polian and Manning retire.

It sucks to have a bad team.

I was surprised to read so much hate on Polian ... thought he was supposed to be well thought of.

I hope Indy composes itself enough to take a bite out of our division opponents. Then a dogfight @Indy.

I thought they also came down hard on Irsay as well. They are very angry about the cryptic twigs from him.

I know he's about 10 years older than me but even I can appreciate the glory that Unitas brought to the Colts. They have a knack for this whole QB thing.

Having a great one every 40 years? So after Manning the next great will come along when I am about 82.
