just sayin!

we can get behind these guys and hope for a playoff run or we can complain and talk about how the season is over and who we want fired. Me.... I'll root for a win thursday and wait till we are really eliminated before I get rid of anyone.

Not only that but I THINK if we win out we WILL win the division NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO!! We are in control of our destiny.

Let's win out mofos. AJ, our team's best player and emotional leader, has provided a spark that will get this unit to kick ass and take names. I can dream at least. That fight got me out of the doldrums that this team put me through with their usual 4 game crap losing streak.

Well, I would love that BUT is AJ out on Thu?

I'd be shocked if he wasn't but I think the motivational impact from the fight could be greater to our team than any 1 player, even as good a player as Andre.

Sure would be a nice game to get Owen back, probably wishful thinking with the short week though.

With it being a short week, I'm hoping Asante Samuel doesn't play again. Ellis Hobbs is out for the season so the Eagles will be without one of their best CB's regardless. Should make it a little easier to pass the ball if AJ is out. Walter, Jacoby, and Dreesen are going to have to step up though. I'm sure the Eagles will try and take Foster out of the game and make the Texans beat them through the air.

I think the "Fire Kubiak/Bush/Smith/Bob/Toro" sentiment has peaked for the year. I want Kubiak gone in the worst way possible but I'm not going to rage about it anymore. What's the point? It is what it is and we'll have to totally, visibly collapse in order for it to happen and we won't do that. We might post 8-8'ish records until the sun burns out but "we won't quit" so there's no point in even talking about it until the season is over.

5 more games to go and then we'll come back to that stuff.

Well yeah, that and score 60 points because our defense is probably going to give up 59

I agree that if we win out we SHOULD win the division. The only team ahead of us that has anything to say if that happens is the Colts since we don't play them anymore.

With that said the last thing I am going to do is get my hopes up for some type of improbable 6 game winning streak to close the season. I will just look forward to the very next game Thursday and of course I hope we win, we are one game out of first so of course.

I really don't care who is coaching this team, no personal grudges. In fact I would love it if Gary was the guy, he's a Houston product and all but for me it is all about results. No more 8-8s.

Playoffs or Bust for me so I agree with what was said earlier. No need to talk about it until the season is over.

If the Colts implode, like Payton throwing 4 ints, then everything gets easier. It will be tough and someone may have to sell their soul. This is probably the only way for the Texans to make it. Have the Colts lose 2 games, one in the division, and Texans can only lose to the Eagles, and have to win out. If the Colts dont lose that division game, then I think they own the tie breaker for win lost percentage for like games, especially if they win against Dallas. Or lose against someone on the remaining schedule, say in the division or Oakland. This Sunday, we are Cowboys fans. Correct my understandings of the tie break scenarios if needed.

For some reason I didn't realize how close the Texans were to being on top of the division. They need to go out and string together some wins for the rest of the season and playoffs aren't a far off dream after all.

I was hoping the same thing, but we finished that series with a field goal. If this team was going to get motivated by that incident, it should have been then & there.

I liked the run plays called, It gave our OL opportunity to lay a couple of blows of their own.......

but the field goal.... settling for the field goal.... left a bad taste in my mouth.

I'll be rooting for this team to win out, just don't think that fight was enough to get them mad.... Don't know what it will take.

LOL, Texan fans cheering for the Boys! Well, I think the Boys have a chance to knock out the Colts!

Well, this is one Texan who will not be cheering for the BOYS!! Even IF the Texans win the division, which I truly believe will not happen, they are not a playoff calibur team. Our D still sucks, regardless of their performance against a very broken Tenn team, and our O is bipolar!! The term "on any given Sunday" definitely applies to our team. I'm not trying to be a "downer" either, just realistic. Nothing I would like better than to see our boys make the playoffs. Just don't see it happening, so not gonna get my hopes up.

No offense to ya Moo, but, if the Texans can't win the division, I want the Colts to win it. Just not a huge Jags fan, and I fear them winning the division a hell of a lot more than I fear the Colts winning it. The deciding game just might be played on Jan 2nd.

I might agree with that at the end of the season but right now i'm just going to hope for a playoff run.

I think there's alot of truth there. The Colts are decimated, a shell of their former selves. Did you see Peyton wincing before he was even hit last night? How long has it been since Reggie Wayne dropped that many passes. The whole offense is just outta sync. The Cowboys are playing better than they did under Wade Phillips. I think they can do it.

Hmm, Eagles, Ravens, Titans, Broncos and Jags...yeah, I don't see it happening. Maybe 2 or 3, but not enough to get to the show.

Welp, if they are going to do anything about it, they have to keep the defense on the field that was there yesterday. While Rusty Smith was the starter and Fisher gave CJ a whopping 5 carries like an *****, the defense still looked like they actually got up for that game yesterday.

They don't have to pitch 5 shut outs, but they need to get takeaways and create pressure. They have not done either of those things up until the game versus the Titans.

It can happen but I really don't have a ton of faith in that materializing.
