OMG ... I just fell out of my chair hearing that just now from Candlestick Park. I have surround sound and it sounded like the entire stadium was chanting that. If they only knew what they are asking for.

LOL, good one.I think Carr talked Mike into giving Smith another shot .
Uncanny resemblance to George McFly.
According to Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News, backup quarterback David Carr was so much under the impression he'd replace struggling starter Alex Smith in the fourth quarter of Sunday night's game that Carr walked out to the huddle at roughly the 11-minute mark. Smith went onto lead a touchdown drive capped by tight end Vernon Davis' seven-yard scoring reception to cut Philadelphia's lead to 24-17.
But, apparently, no member of San Francisco's coaching staff informed Carr he wasn't going in.
If you include his own ass I'll guess one. Gary "on me" Kubiak.Amazing.... Mike Singletary obviously chewed Smith's ass on the sidelines, and Smith has been perfect since.
I wonder how many asses Kubes chewed today on the sidelines? Anyone? Anyone?
The only think I saw Kubiak do was stare at his Denny's menu, 50 yards from the action. If I didn't know Kubiak was the head coach, I would have never guessed.I wonder how many asses Kubes chewed today on the sidelines? Anyone? Anyone?
and Don Capers was back wearing the headset.Minus the glove, I thought Carr was playing at Reliant yesterday!
Having to chew your Qbs ass to get him to play well is not a good sign. Anyway, for all of his "fire" Singletary has a nice 0-5 record in one of weaker division in football. Most of the time a coach or someone on staff needs to offer a QB a solution not a kick in the ass. Points to Alex Smith is not good and the 49ers staff does have a real way to make him better.Amazing.... You have no idea...Haha man you guys really hate Carr.
I wouldn't have minded Carr throwing the ball for us yesterday. Anything could have been better than what i saw.

or this:
You know, I always liked Rosenfels. I think he throws a more catchable ball than Matt. He just seems to make some really stupid mistakes at times. But I really think he throws a much more catchable ball, with more zip most times.I was yelling for Rosenfels at the stadium yesterday when i saw him walking out of the tunnel at the beginning of the 2nd half.
I really do think Schaub will bounce back, but until he can show consistency i will be on his case.
That's just wrong!!!! 49er fans are desparate...I'd give Carr a start, why not...the owner says they will still win the division! 0-5 and counting. There is something inherently wrong with seeing David Carr in the same uniform that was once worn by Joe Montana.
Obviously they are desperate if they are chanting for Carr to play. We've seen that boy's work, and it ain't nothing to chant about. That's just wrong!!!! 49er fans are desparate...I'd give Carr a start, why not...the owner says they will still win the division! 0-5 and counting.
True, but the other alternative is Alex Smith who has been pretty much just as much of a monumental bust as Carr has. All jokes aside the Niners might as well give Carr a try and see if the offense responds. They have nothing to lose at this point and Alex Smith is obviously not going to work out.Obviously they are desperate if they are chanting for Carr to play. Perhaps...but it appears to me that the 49ers have more fundamental problems than QB right now.True, but the other alternative is Alex Smith who has been pretty much just as much of a monumental bust as Carr has. I love watching Carr on other teams any way.
49ers have no one to blame but themselves for not having anything behind Smith. They let a decent backup in Shaun Hill go for Davie.True, but the other alternative is Alex Smith who has been pretty much just as much of a monumental bust as Carr has. They already had tried Shaun Hill last year though and that didn't work out for them. They came to the conclusion that Smith was the better option and went with him and now they're back to stinking with him. THey might as well see if Carr can give them some sort of boost. If he can't then they're still in the same position as before.49ers have no one to blame but themselves for not having anything behind Smith. They let a decent backup in Shaun Hill go for Davie.
At this point if I was Singletary I'd seriously consider just going out of the Wildcat with Gore and the gimmick play would be bringing in one of the QBs.
I'm not saying Hill is a long term solution at QB by any means, but given the choice between him and Carr I wouldn't even have to debate that one. They already had tried Shaun Hill last year though and that didn't work out for them. I agree, but they already had the Hill experiment and didn't want him back either because of pay or because it was already a fail.I'm not saying Hill is a long term solution at QB by any means, but given the choice between him and Carr I wouldn't even have to debate that one.
Dude... really? Do you not remember? Want to ask some Panther fans? Giant fans? Do you not remember 2005?Is there any reason to believe that Carr couldn't have improved just a little since he's had a little time to recover from being shell shocked? I dunno but it'd be cool to see. How much worse can he be?
Smith sure isn't doing it unless Singletary is chompin' on his backside.
Yes, JB, I do. Just said it would be "interesting". Heck, he *might* be a Pro Bowler by now.Dude... really? Do you not remember? Want to ask some Panther fans? Giant fans? Do you not remember 2005?
I forgot you were one of those pig flyers...Yes, JB, I do. Just said it would be "interesting". Heck, he *might* be a Pro Bowler by now.
I don't feel sorry for 49ers fans. They've got winning tradition, multi-championship history, and a bunch of HoF players to reminisce about. They deserve a couple of decades of suck as far as this bitter Houston fan is concerned. They ought to grab Graham Harrell, IMO.
He did a decent job with the Packers this preseason. And you know the chemistry between him and Crabtree is there.
Man, we're upset with our Texans right now...but can you imagine the mental state of a 9ers fan right now? Or Panthers fan right now?
It's one thing to be 3-2 and feel like you're sinking. It's a complete other thing to be 0-5 and wonder if you'll even win a single game at all.
