Offense

-Passing game looked real ugly, despite decent protection.
-Foster is a horse.
-Slaton is not.
-Schaub is still prone to give up interceptions.
-Butler was alright, no trips to the probowl though.
-Execution was a big, big problem vs. the Cowboys

Defense

-Yuck. 11 Texans fans out of the crowd might've done better.
-Wilson is a certified, over the hill, on his way out, backup. Time to believe in a younger player....Barber or Nolan, who you got?
-Pollard needs to rotate out in obvious passing downs. 3rd and long means the Texans play 10 on 11.
-Kareem Jackson needs some help "finding" his game. If it's time on the bench, extra help from a qualified coverage safety, whatever, it needs to happen.
-Today it seemed it would be Mario or nothing and guess what? It was nothing while Mario fought through all kinds of scheming against him. Nobody else stepped up. Nobody. We can thank Mario for our victory last week, keeping McNabb off of ONE field goal. DT is such a wasteland AGAIN for this team.

Overall, a bad loss. Seems like some of the previous weeks shortcomings were too much to overcome this week. Although thinking about it, it's not like an earth shattering loss even though it would've been nice to have the emotional victory for the fans.

Going with youth and inexperience is a big part of our secondary woes.

Do we want a veteran back there who knows where he's supposed to be, but isn't always able to physically get there, or a young guy who doesn't know where he's going, but gets somewhere in a hurry?

Neither prospect has me excited.

-Winston was not the best he could be today
- and Chris Myers still sucks
 
- Kareem is still better than Brice. McCain looked weak, overpowered, and mismatched.

- Slaton can't keep running back kickoffs to the 18-20 yard line. I'm looking at you Jacoby.

- Got to fix the pass rush, QUICK!

- Is Butler better than Winston? He sure looked like it today...

- Somewhat disagree with the Pollard assessment on 3rd down. At least he won't drop an interception if the ball somehow goes his way. So if you see what I'm saying, I somewhat agree with your assessment of Wilson.
 
I was way too intoxicated at the game today to offer more than seriously where is our pass rush, I mean wtf is wrong with us and why can't we at least SCHEME some type of pass rush.
 
I know on the toden pole of needs is not on the RT but weather it be 2 or 4 years from now i wouldnt mind getting a new RT

Good take. I will say this. Two weeks in a row, we've talked about Schaub getting off to a slow start. He was never able to get in sync. This is an issue we have to fix, if we're going to have a shot at beating San Diego, Baltimore, Tennessee (twice) & the Colts again.

& if we can't do that, come out looking like we know what we are doing on offense.... it doesn't matter if we get to the play-offs or not, because we won't go anywhere anyway against play-off teams.

Why is Steve Slaton running with his head down?His running cause the team a couple of first downs.It looks like he is scare to get hit.I think somebody else needs to step up on kick off returns....I really wanted the TEXANS to win this game BAD!!!! Now I will have to put up with all these Cowfans that are coming out of closet.......This game meant alot to me...:gun:
 
Need to resign Jeremiah J when he is well. What is his status?
Need a different scheme in secondary
Need a different scheme for pass rush. Maybe blitz more but come up with some different twists. Try SOMETHING DIFFERENT it can't be any worse.
Need to have more confidence in running game when Foster is in. When he isn't don't try to run.
I agree Slaton looks terrible. Maybe because we now know what a real RB looks like.
I agree give Nolan a chance, can't be any worse. Just think if Foster had been given a chance earlier last year.
