Football Star Favre Reaches Out To Incarcerated Wayne

LIL WAYNE's spirits have been given a big boost as he serves time behind bars after learning his favourite American football star has been keeping the rapper in his prayers.

The Lollipop hitmaker was jailed for weapons possession earlier this year (10) and is expected to walk free from New York's tough Rikers Island prison in November (10).

But he will serve his final few weeks with a spring in his step - thanks to a special message from Brett Favre.

MACk Maine, president of Wayne's Young Money record label, reveals Favre reached out to the incarcerated hip-hop star via their mutual friend Bryant MCKinnie, who plays alongside the football great for the Minnesota Vikings.

Maine tells MTV.com, "Bryant MCKinnie is one of our friends, B-MAC. (Favre) asked B-MAC, 'How you been?' B-MAC answered. And he was like, 'How's Wayne?' That was his second question to B-MAC. Those two are real good friends.

"He said, 'Let (Wayne) know I been praying for him and send him my love.' So I let Wayne know that. He said, 'You just brightened my spirits up for the rest of the month.' He was real excited."

The though of Favre hooking up with Lil Wayne to make a "diss track" about all his haters and even the Packers crossed my mind when I read this article.

Lil Wayne, make it happen!
 
Favre: I need attention. Nobody talks about me as much.
Wayne: Yeah, me too.
Favre: I have an idea!
Wayne: But you don't like my music, do you?
Favre: Do you want attention or not?
 
Great, I can just see it now. ESPN will run non-stop coverage everytime Favre decides to retire from his new music career. :rake:
 
Man, **** Bret Favre in his attention seeking diva ass. Want to impress me, go talk in actual prisons. Go work with youth groups to try and keep kids out of prison. Lil Wayne will be ok. So sick of #4.
 
Wow this is a tough room. Someone mentions that Favre tells his buddy to tell another buddy of that guy to keep his head up but reading the responses you think Favre told another buddy of his he just came back for the money.

And what wrong with lil Wayne? The man has some serious talent. Being a thug and having guns in rap is like cocaine, spandex, and big hair for metal.

Does anyone here really want to see Jay-Z in leotards, Afro, and heavy eye liner? :foottap:

Wayne was good before every rapper found out about auto tune...Wayne then took auto tune and began to slowly murder rap...just bashing away at rap's skull for the past couple of years now. I'm hoping the auto-tune phase will be over before the end of this year...but I seriously doubt it.
 
yeah, that definitely made lil wayne's life right there. he is a self proclaimed brett favre fan; he went to one of his playoff games for the vikings last year, i forget which.
