Texas Bowl Tailgate

Yeah, I know it's not a Texans game, but it is another reason for a tailgate.

Anyway, I know a few Blue Crewers will be there, and we will have the large central area as usual. So anyone who wants to come on by is welcome as always, same spot, etc.....

I'll have the grill with me, not sure what I'm cooking on it....


Feel free to chime in if you're going to be there.
Also - we could probably use a few extra EZ-Ups as well. I think we'll have two, but not 100% sure.
 
Andy and I will be there, though we might not do the whole tailgating thing. At least not the whole 4 or 5 hours worth. We'll probably bring some beers and some snacks and just hang out a bit before and after the game.
 
I've got 2 eatra tickets if anyone is looking for some.

Deciding between burgers and steaks to cook. Not sure yet.

Ended up grabbing some sausage & ny strips, as well as some dips & chips. Hot Cocoa & Baileys will be flowing as well.
Might squeeze in a Margarita.....:spin:

Woo Hoo! Yay Navy! But man, that was BORING. I'm used to fans that stand and cheer. Of course, we were surround by Mizzou fans that didn't have much to stand and cheer about. And Mizzou's band was obnoxious.

After hearing about UH's beatdown, I'm kinda glad we stuck with this game though. But having the roof open sucked. I wasn't dressed for the weather.

We were on the Navy side - lots cheering for Navy first downs. People made some noise on Mizzou third downs but none on first and second downs. And of course wild cheering anytime Navy went for it on 4th down. So how about people stop complaining about Texans fans being the worst ever - we are better than most.

I was shocked by the low turnout. Over 69,400 tickets sold - looked like about 25,000 there. At least 40,000 no shows! I don't understand buying a ticket and then not coming, or at least selling it or giving it away.
 
Had a great time both at the game & the tailgate! It was a pretty decent turnout for the tailgate. As Fred said, the stadium looked a bit empty considering the amount of tickets sold. There were tons of Mizzou fans, and I was told by one of them that it's a "rumor" that they don't travel well. They proved it by showing up in droves.

Gma - you would have loved the game, the roof was open and it was a bit chilly. I had a fleece lined jacket on and was warm enough. I think the T-shirt folk got a bit cold.

Time to get ready for Sunday!

We wanted to make it by the Blue Crew but parked next to the Reliant Arena so we stayed put and made the best of it . We had a good time and talked to a few Navy students , then enjoyed the game .
