4.Mike Tepper OL
5.Dezmon Briscoe/Jordan Shipley WRs

1. Haden, good bye DR
2. Wilson. you are probably closer than I am but I hope he drops to round 4. Please explain why you think Smith will draft CBs in first two rounds. Not arguing with you just want your input. Are you dis-satisfied with Quinn or would you move him to FS as I would?
3. Gerhart, hoping we are both correct that he is still here. It may benefit Texans if he does not win Heisman.
4. Who?
5. I'd like Shipley in this round but doubt he falls this low.
6. Rolle would be a good pick here but most opinions have him all over the board. Combine will allow us to know if year off hurt skills.

I would like Warren if Haden isn't there

1. Haden, great pick.
2. Wilson, also a great pick, other CB's in the 2nd round of value would be Patrick Robinson, and SydQuan Thompson.
3. Gerhart, good pick and good value if still available.
4. Tepper, Who, I never heard of this guy.
5. Shipley, not a bid pick since we hopefully get rid of Andre Davis and his grossly overpriced contract. Honestly though I look for Glen Martinez to take Davis' place and this draft pick could be used on another position.
6. Rolle, I doubt seriously that he'll be available here, probably go in the 3rd or early 4th round.
6. Doering, I don't know anything about him but extra O-linemen is never a bad thing. Ponder, a QB to groom for the future is also a viable option.
7. Tate, good pick and great value if still available here, will probably go earlier though. Blount, also good pick if still available.

Overall not bad but it could be better. I'd also like to hear your reasoning for 2 early CB's, I doubt it happens.

From the way we have been playing lately I see us in a good drafting spot for Joe Haden. We could really use him, none of us really know what is going to happen with Dunta but sadly we probably will resign him. Jacque Reeves and Fred Bennett just are not getting the job done at anytime. If we drafted Joe Haden he would automatically become a starter on the first day bc of the such bad quality of depth in our CBs. I had us taking Kyle Wilson bc this guy really looks like he can be a starter his rookie year also, Boise State has a freaking wall in the stadium that is just him. Glover Quin could also stay at CB just depending on what happens with Dunta. If DR stays though I could see GQ moving to FS and I think he could provide a lot better play there than DB or Eugene Wilson. If this happened our depth 1 to 3 could be GQ, Joe Haden and Kyle Wilson. That would be a huge change for the better and would provide starters for years to come. If this happens and we go out and sign a beast on the DL, Vince Wilfork, Barry Cofield or Ryan Pickett. If for some reason Mays and Haden are on the board that would be a very difficult choice. If the Texans want a veteran at FS they should sign O.J. Atogwe and draft Haden. Any of these scenarios would be a great move.

I like your thinking but you did not mention Offense and you may be ok with it.

If Myers remains at center and he prob will if Kubes is coach next season, line could be Brown, Caldwell, Myers, Brisiel (off injury)and Winston. I think Caldwell may be good to go as a starter but not sure about Brisiel. Anyway, would not have to draft a olineman. First round, Haden and second Wilson (I like this guy but mocked him in 4th) McCain is the nickle back and move Quin to FS. I have long believed the latter will work. He was rated 7th best FS in nation when he came out so he can play the position.
For offense, I would like Gerhart in 3rd but very concerned not there. We need a power back more than we need two corners, imo. I would like another OG/LT but not sure we'd get much in 4th or later other than long term project.

Something we all need to keep in mind, if Gary K. survives to finish his last year; I would expect him to draft for immediate impact players that will prove he belongs as a head coach. There will be no more time to build for the future.

One thing I noticed from this Kyle Wilson video and several others I watched as well, they show alot of his workouts and punt returns but almost nothing of his pass coverage ability. I like his speed and workouts, his intelligence level, and punt return ability, but if his highlight videos don't show anything of him in pass coverage then what are they hiding. He's a CB and they should be showing off his pass coverage abilities. NFL scouts don't base their opinions on You Tube videos and I guarantee if he's good or bad in pass coverage they'll know it.

i don't see the point of picking multiple players for one draft choice in a mock draft. might as well just say "any good player here at this position"

Haden will blaze at the combine in the 40 and Al Davis fall in love. I serioulsy cant see him making it past the Raiders pick. Even if he does its not likely he falls to where we will be picking.

Oakland Raiders: Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
There are only four possibilities here: Ryan Mallett, Taylor Mays, Carlos Dunlap and Bruce Campbell. That's it. If you think otherwise, you really don't realize how horrible of a drafter Al Davis is.

I've had Mallett going to the Raiders for the past few updates, but with the emergence of Bruce Gradkowski, Al Davis might be content enough to allow Gradkowski to play until he feels JaMarcus Russell is ready to start again. With Vince Young and Alex Smith reviving their careers this season, Al might be encouraged that his former No. 1 quarterback will eventually evolve into a great player.

Al Davis loves drafting athletes and needs a left tackle. Bruce Campbell is 6-7, 310, and has a good chance of running a 4.9. If Al is awake and sees this at the Combine, he may think Campbell is the best offensive tackle of all time.

Pick change; previously Ryan Mallett, QB

Here is another prediction for Oakland Oakland Raiders: Bruce Campbell, T, Maryland
Bruce Campbell is the favorite to go ahead of Russell Okung in my opinion. People told me I was crazy for saying the Raiders would take Darrius Heyward-Bey over Jeremy Maclin, but I called it. Bruce Campbell's triangle numbers are 6-6, 310, and 4.9. Russell Okung's are 6-5, 300, and 5.2. Campbell was even mentioned as one of Bruce Feldmen's Workout Warriors before the season:

"Terps have been good for a few workout warriors, and the 6-6, 306-pound Campbell is a supersized version. Maryland strength coach Dwight Galt calls him "one of a kind." Campbell certainly has the bloodlines. His father, Bruce, starred for the Providence College hoops team in the '70s before he was drafted by the Nets. Earlier this month, Campbell bench-pressed 490 pounds, which is impressive, especially considering the length of his arms. He also ran a 4.82 40. "Bruce looks like a Greek God," Galt says. "He almost looks like a bodybuilder. He's the offensive line version of Vernon Davis."

It is pretty much all over the board because no one knows what Davis is thinking.

1. C.J. Spiller RB
2. Kyle Wilson CB
3.Sergio Render OG
4.Mike Tepper OL
5.Dezmon Briscoe/Jordan Shipley WRs
6.Myron Rolle FS
6.Christian Ponder QB
7.Dan Doering

Joe Haden is not going to fall to us. We have to take the best player available and that will be C.J. Spiller. Spiller reminds me a lot of LT he is very versatile and can be used in many ways. We also happen to need a running back. So this happens to be very good pick up. In the second I could see Kyle Wilson happening but not Golden Tate if he is available that would be stupid to pass up. All other picks are what the team needs. Hopefully we sign some really good proven free agents example...Vince Wilfork, Richard Seymour, O.J. Atogwe. This is a primarily offensive draft bc I am hoping we cover our most important needs with the defense before the draft. If all of this happens to the team we have now, I could see the 2010 Texans a contender for the Superbowl.

Love the CJ Spiller pick and the other picks are solid.

Just so you know though Christian Ponder is a junior who said he's going back to FSU next year. He may change his mind but just lettin you know.

Oh I had not even heard anything. Well it should be a QB to groom with that pick. If not Ponder than we should get Max Hall.

I adamantly disagree with drafting another Slaton/Moats type runner. We need a power back, although I do like what Foster did against Miami. I really wished Kubes had allowed Foster to return to the game after benching him two weeks ago. We need to know if this guy can be our pounder. 6foot 232 is great size but can he do it consistently. As Dixon, Gerhart and Scott (LSU) all fit the physcial criteria and can be had after first round, I'd go with another priority need such as FS (Thomas) or pray for a trade down (15% chance). If you land Thomas who should start immediately, we can go with Reeves and Quin as the CB starters and Thomas can back stop Quin. You can go with you power back Gerhart in 2nd or if lucky 3rd which is where I project him. Slaton/Moats Gerhart/Foster.
