Justin Gage to miss Texans game

Kenny Britt is already better than Gage. A non-issue, as far as MNF is concerned.

Chris Johnson will get his. He does against everyone. The key is tackling Vince Young when he leaves the pocket. That's how he can hurt the Texans. They shouldn't fear his arm, nor his receivers.

You uninformed fans may think that about Vince but I guaran-damn-tee you that your coachign staff and players aren't thinking that. You guys keep thinking it's a non-issue. That will make it more fun.

Britt is better than Gage. That's painfully obvious. Britt is also a BEAST of a downfield blocker. He loves blowing up defenders. Plus Vince already seems to have some chemistry with him.

uninformed? i think people round Texas know quite a bit about VY, and it ain't his arm that scares anybody.

Spot on. Make sure Vince doesn't extend series with 3rd down conversions either with his feet or to TE's.

TBC, please don't presume to talk to us about WR's who block. We have maybe the best tandem of blocking WR's in the league. Individually Ward is better than either but AJ/Walter routinely each punk people in blocking.

Cut him slack Cak, he's just uninformed.

That does suck though about Justin Gage. He is a good receiver thats fits a role with that offense. Hopefully he will recover, i dont like seeing any player get injuries as severe as that.

:hmmm: I thought we were the uninformed ones. After all, watching highlights of VY since his High School days, living in Big XII country and Austin being so close and the fact that he plays for a divisional rival doesn't qualify as being informed.

Apparently not over the last three games you don't.
But it's ok. You guys can deny that Vince has matured, all you want.
His accuracy was never an issue IMO. It was his lack of maturity and ethics. If you have the 'I don't need to improve/can't nobody tell me nothin' mindset, then you damn skippy you're going to be too narcissistic to learn anything, including mechanics and how to go through your reads. If you guys know as much about VY as you say you do, this wouldn't be an issue...because you would have also seen that he's matured. Anyone who isn't a blind VY hater can see it.
But I guess a 90+ QB rating over the last three games with ONE pick isn't enough to convince you. You just keep doubting.
It isn't going to be easy for us, but it damn sure isn't going to be easy for you guys this evening either.
I think we'll sneak this through, but the score difference IMO won't be more than a TD, regardless of who wins. I don't see either team blowing out the other.

:gun: We can go through all your meaningless stats if you want. We are very experienced with padded stats via check-downs, screens etc.... Very David Carr(esque). How about this for a statistic:

3 games, 3 plays of 20+ yards.

Does that sound like someone who is learning to go through his progressions or someone who wants to get the ball out of his hands to one of his check downs?? Seeing HWSRN up close and personal, I would vote on the latter, not the former.

Here's another interesting stat while you're quoting his 90+ QB rating; It's progressively gone down in all 3 games. 114 ----> 92.4------> 90.4

BTW, he's put up those overly-impressive showings against the 22nd, 23rd and 25th ranked defenses.

Not as unimformed as you may think!!

BTW, good for Vince that he's maturing. He really needed to and many people here (including this VY hater) complimented him when he has made mature decisions like visiting with Steve McNair's kid(s)..

The broken back bones aren't as awful as it sounds. He'll be back, just not this week.
No it's not, but I am liking the fact that we will have Britt and Washington to throw it to. I hope Gage gets well soon, but he still should be sitting on the bench behind Britt.
