Gameday Thread: Texans at Bills 11-01

We gotta get at least 3, although I prefer 7. With O.D. out, puts more
strain on the receivers. Daniels is what we do with the middle of the field.
Their secondary just got more potent when O.D. went down. If only
Slaton wouldn't put the ball on the ground...
 
So I guess this means we will have to wait until the 3rd quarter before the team shows up since they only seem to play 1/2 of a football game.
 
Walter on a DE/DT?? Yeah, that was a GREAT matchup...especially on Schaub's blind side. *OUCH*

We need to get Jacoby in the passing game today..the coverage on AJ is smothering and will result in another pick if we stick with it.
 
I still say we need Slaton out there. Moats deserves PT, but Slaton keeps the defense on their toes. We need someone that can run that HB Screen and get some big yards out of it. Right now, Moats is the better RB but Slaton is the better receiver.
 
Bad choice by Schaub...caused by the entire pocket collapsing backward. We didn't hold a single point on the entire line that play.

Not if he drops the ball once he gets hit. The man scares me.
 
Schaub is rattled a little bit
Slaton is rattled as well, a ton of fumbling.
Daniels is out of the game.

One of these 3 things needs to change before we can win.

Moats has picked up like 5+ yards on every carry this year. He should be getting the bulk of the carries.

I think we give him the half on the bench to think it over. That'll get him nice and angry. At least, I would hope it would.

I'm torn here....with OD out we definitely need some help in receiving, but the fumbles scare me more.

And I think we should continue running the ball with Moats. But Slaton still needs to get in there as a receiver.

Agreed. Slaton is just thinking way too much this season. On that fumble, IMO he was thinking too much about what to do with the ball and couldn't decide what to do and it just popped out. Last season, Slaton came in with zero expectations and just was playing off instinct. I really think now he is thinking way too much.

Slaton usually only fumbles once per game. He's got the fumble out of his system. Time to put him back in.

Props to the defense for getting the Bills off the field. Time for the offense to wake up and produce.

I'm torn as well. But as you say with OD out, we need all the playmakers on the field. When Slaton is in the game, the defense has no idea what is coming. Moats offers nothing, at leas that I have seen, in the passing game and is completely one dimensional. That being said, I like Moats and want to see him out there more.
 
Bottom line is this team is gonna live or die with Slaton.
He's gonna lead us to victory, or lead us to our slaughter.
