I'll give him one thing, he looks bigger. Still trying to take on blockers and push them back though and it's not a very flattering result. I thought he was supposed to be shooting through the gaps with the quickness he displayed on that excellent screen tackle at the end though...

I want to hear the sound of Cortland Finnegan getting tossed from the scrum. If he was mic'd up there is audio and I want to hear it. If they want to line it up with video too, I won't complain but either way.
 
I remember Smith and Kubes talking about him right after the draft about how special he was because he could dip his hips and beat blocks and his athleticism allowed him to get after the QB. What happened to that? They went on and on about it.

He showed all of that early on as a rookie, but like with other rookies, the longer he was around our coaching staff.....the more he learned how to suck.


BTW, should I be worried that our 3rd year top 10 ovrl pick has to get advice from our 2nd year 5th rounder? Something just doesn't sound right about that. :rolleyes:

Most of that video was just him yelling and screaming (other than his very astute description of Andre Johnson's playing abilities).

Amobi and Okam's conversation... I thought those two were like the smartest people on our team. Okam's got a career waiting for him if football doesn't work out and Amobi... well... he started college really young!

Who are the fools who choose the players to get mic'd up?

Andre Johnson and Amobi Okoye.

Those guys would be the all stars of players hard to get to talk much. When I interviewed Okoye, he came across as someone who is pretty shy and not comfortable in front of the camera.

Maybe the Texans have done this intentionally--to make sure nothing inflammatory gets said.

Could you imagine the Eric Winston or David Anderson mic'd up?
 
Wow, that is really great. It is great to hear Amobi get totally man handled and/or the swish as the running back ran by him. I wonder what it sounds like when he makes a tackle.
