Texan 12th Man......

Ok.....time for discussion is just about over. It is time for you to get your vocal cords ready for Sunday. If your going to the game.....even if your at the sports bar.....Its time to "Stand up and Shout".
Be loud Sunday. I plan on losing my voice for sure. The team needs to hear us.
We are the #1 game on CBS NFL Lineup with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms calling the game (so it will be in HiDef for those watching at Sportsbar or at home).
We need to be loud as hell. I mean loud...not semi loud....loud where Sanchez is sitting there behind the center helpless because noone can hear him call signals....that kind of loud.

We are the home team. We need to show the nation just how loud we can be and how hostile it can be coming into this stadium and play here.

I know this sounds prep rallish....but dang it someone need to say it.

Ok...I will get off my soapbox.......I just felt I needed to say that.....

No, good for you for saying it. If we want our team to play playoff football, we need to start acting like playoff fans. Pitts fans were a good example last night. They don't wait for their team to show a good record first, they go out and do their part to help the team.

I better hear a loud crowd on Sunday. Pleaded kakhi pant/shorts, polo wearing/I hope I impressed the boss with these awesome tickets/hey your too loud please sit down guys need to stay at home!!!!!!!

and please for the love of god guys get to your seats BEFORE kickoff. I'll be in mine 30 mins prior at least.

I completely agree. I mean, I lost my voice within the first quarter of the Vikings game. I can't make it to this weekends game though.

The only problem is that typically the people who come here are the loud ones. So it's sort of like preaching to the choir. We do need to get some sort of identity as fans though.

Let's repeat that.......

and please for the love of god guys get to your seats BEFORE kickoff. I'll be in mine 30 mins prior at least. Maybe you'll win a couple of Continental tickets. I did last year and they came in quite handy.

<---was loudest fan at two games last year

<---showed Houstonians how people from SA root
<---got showed right back by the fans in the blue crew and bull pen.

<---will be there on time and ready to yell so loud my future children will loose their voices.

I am soo fired up I cant sit still at work today.

does it count if I text people in a really animated manner?

Use all CAPS.

Sometimes the loud crowd noise bothers the fancy folks in the suites. It makes it hard to digest their Grey Poupon. Better keep it down folks.

Didnt want to start a whole new threat but an PTI two of the guys(Tim Cowlishaw and Jay Mariotti) picked the Texans as the sleeper team of the season. They went on to explain why they thought so(AJ,Slaton,Mario, defensive veterans).

Some love from the media.

As far at this thread, I hope I cant heara anything when the Jets are on offense and everyone is wearing white with the Texans winning!

I always lost mine a few minutes into the game, LOL!

I hate to have to be mindful of the folks in the row behind me.
If they seem to be irritate, I'd rather get up to the concourse and stand there.
What's the use of sitting down during a game, but to catch a little break (only if you need to). :doot:

One of you mods better change the title of this thread.

We don't want Texas A&M to sue us like they did the Seahawks.

I am as loud as my voice can handle at sporting events. After the MNF game last season my 6 year old daughter said I sounded like I ate a horse, then I figured that she meant I sounded hoarse, lol. :wild:

I am certain I have permanent vocal cord damage from the past seven years, and I intend to add to it on Sunday! Don't ask me to sing anything though, cause it AIN'T gonna happen anymore! I simply cannot help myself! When the time comes, I'm gonna let it roar!!!:shetexan:

Oh man, the Texans didn't give me many opportunities to get the vocal chords in shape in the pre-season, and what little screaming I did in the Vikings game, my voice was shot by halftime.

But it counts now. I'll be good to go Sunday. Hoping for a comfortable lead by the 4th quarter so I can rest the pipes a little, but I'll go the distance if need be. Always have.

Yeah and when the D is playing Take your butts off the seats ... dont sit there like a lump on a log and be Loud !!!!!!!!! the pre season we where weak IMO but hey that was the PS now this stuff matters

the bad thing there are alot of familys that go to the texans games and sometimes there kinda SHy and dont wanna yell or make noise YALL NEED TO SNAP OUTTA THAT HABIT THIS WEEK !!!!!!!!!

Send 'em to Minute Maid. LOL

I started a post over on texanstalk.com and thought I would say the same thing over here.....(no copying of aggies 12th man intended)...

Basically I said the time for discussion is winding down...Those of you going to the game .... Tomorrow ...it is time to "Stand up and Shout"

We need to make it difficult for Sanchez to communicate with his team when he is calling the signals before the snap. We need that kind of loud every play..... We need to be so loud he has take time just to call the signals and even some delay of game penaltie too....

You and I can make a difference in the game. We need the whole stadium rocking. I just watched Eric Winston's lastes video blog www.ericwinston73.com and he said the same thing. We can do it. Scream your head off and show not only the Jets, but the national tv audience (we are the prime game on CBS this week with Jim Nantz and Phil Simms calling the action) how hostile and vocal we can be.

And get there a little earlier. I most of us tailgate. But if your like me, you get there in parking spot by 815...some of you are in there at 7 (platinum lot)....Lets fill those stands up too....

I know everyone already knows what I just said and have heard this all before. But we got a rookie qb coming into our house. We need to make it as difficult as possible for this guy. You can do that. Tell everyone around to do the same.

Ok....I will get off my soapbox now......GO TEXANS......

Great post. I don't get a good feeling when I see seats empty around the stadium just an half an hour before game time. We as fans should be there before kickoff and show love and support our team.
