According to the Twitter account of agent Drew Rosenhaus, running back Darius Walker has signed a two-year deal with the Denver Broncos.

Walker, a former Notre Dame tailback who was undrafted upon leaving school a year early, played for the Texans in 2007, and bounced on and off the team’s roster in 2008.

In Denver, Walker joins a very crowded house at the running back position.

So I'm just not sure what you want from us when we're faced with THESE kinds of circumstances!



In the meantime, discuss amongst yourselves the likelihood of Darius Klingon unseating Ryan Torain or Peyton Hillis and us being the beneficiary of that move.

I, too, liked DW. He just didn't live up to what we were looking for at the time. The important thing to note in this transaction is that another team is potentially interested in our "cast-off" RB. And an even more important point to be gleened is that they are not happy with the "12-pack" of RBs they presently have on the roster.....................which bodes well for us having a chance to screw that monumental mastermind of a new HC out of someone with some actual talent..........hopefully, Hillis.

He's going to team with a lot of running backs, Walker will have to make a lot of improvements to prove he's the 3rd best back on the roster.

Since the standard for NFL contracts is for them not to be guaranteed except for signing bonus there doesn't need to be any mention.

But most of us also loved Sam Cassell.

Well, with Denver now collecting RB's like Chucky did with QB's in Tampa, his chances are slim at best.

IMO, he didn't have the burst a RB needs to pop through the LOS. I think slower RB's can make it in the NFL by having a quick low end burst. Walker never showed low or high end quickness.

I still say David Gibbs is missing out on some serious marketing dollars...
