wow......whos running that place.....theres not much in the way of receivers on the market for them to sign...wonder whats there thought process
 
Pace is old and broken down and hasn't finished a full season since 2005, so he wasn't worth the 9 mil or so his cap hit was and Drew Bennett isn't anyone's second best wr...anywhere.
 
They'll probably go Tackle in the draft, if not defense.

Oh, and Holt, one of my favorite WR's in the league, will probably stay in the NFC West with the Cards or Niners. Maybe the Giants, or Eagles.
 
I really don't want the Colts to end up with Torry Holt. I have visions of Holt vs. Reeves and Faggins. Ugh.

According to NFL Network the Titans were in the process of completing a trade for Holt with the Rams, but Holt didn't want to rework his deal. The Rams released him when the trade fell through. It wouldn't surprise me to see him wearing a Titans uniform next season.

Why would the Colts release an expensive old WR just to get another expensive old WR? Or did Harrison retire....I forget? Either way, it doesn't make sense unless Holt came a lot cheaper than Harrison, which I don't know if he would or not.

I don't see why the texans don't make a play at him. He's only 32 so he has a couple years left in him. AJ+Holt would be the 2nd best receiving duo in the league (and that's assuming Boldin+Fitz stay together). I know, I know, we hate big name free agents, but just this once! Our offense was great with Kevin Walter as the #2, imagine what it would look like with Holt.

Sorry, but Walter is better for the Texans than Holt at this point in each of their careers. I would not drop Walter down the depth chart to rent Holt for a year. Holt's game is slipping and Walter is a better blocker in the run game.

Why does Holt have to be #2. Sounds like a pretty good #3 to me.

I'm sure a WR of Holt's caliber would love to come to a team that has never made the playoffs and be their slot WR........

I would love that to happen, but it won't.
