didn't like this comment tho
Johnson lit up a group of teams that haven't exactly proven themselves to be stout foes, especially on defense. Even so, the sixth-year wide receiver is a marked man. Name someone other than Johnson or Matt Schaub on Houston's offense. Maybe rookie tailback Steve Slaton, who is off to a good start, but his reputation was made at West Virginia University.

How about JJ, OD, Walter, DA just to name a few

I can understand someone not knowing the other WR, but I think at least most fantasy football fans know Owen Daniels at least.

i don't mind the "no name" thing. it just means we're still under the radar. i'll enjoy that for as long as we can. we don't have guys that are "me" guys anyway. i may be a bit biased but this is very much a "team" team. Thanks Kubiak.

what other team comes to mind as a "team" team? hmmmmm?

i'll give you a hint, they've won a few superbowls.

Go. Texans.

Many Texan fans haved complained about the national media not giving our team some respect, but the truth is they tried in the past.
However you may feel about Carr, and I dunno maybe its because he is a Californian, but they tried to push the team in more than one season during his time here. And I think Jim Rome had quite a bit to do with that, probably since he's got a business connection here atleast historically speaking. But each time the Texans flopped and disappointed so the media, being the fickle creature that is, lost interest and turned elsewhere for a new, hot team or winner. If we can have a sustained period of positive performance ( certainly to include playoff appearances), the respect and attention and publicity will come with the territory. And so will the recognition of our individual players.

I don't need (or want) Cowboyish airtime (anyone else get tired of flipping between SC and NFLN multiple times to try to avoid Cowboy coverage, EVERY morning?).

What I want:
1. Please don't show our highlights and name players who have been off the team for 3+ years
2. Please don't completely skip our highlights when we blow an opponent out
3. Please don't list our highlights on your rundown, I decide to wait and be a little late to work, and then SC starts over having never shown our highlights

Pete Prisco-
Jacksonville hasn't shown it is nearly as good as expected and the Texans are a year away. So my pick is the Colts.

Clark Judge-
Yeah, I'd like the Texans more if their defense was more reliable, but it ranks ahead of the Jags and is one spot behind Indy. Maybe, just maybe, this is the year the Texans escape the cellar.

Texans are the flavor of the week just like the Dolphins were when they came into Reliant Stadium a few weeks ago.

We've gotta prove we can win on the road before this attention goes to the players heads. They say all the right things in press conferences but actions speak louder than words. Young players + lack of veteran leadership = easily complacent in situations like this.

Lets hope they can stay focused on the task at hand and continue to play with a chip on their shoulders 1 GAME AT A TIME!!!

I didn't think this was worthy of a new thread so I'll add it here.

I was listening to Mike and Mike on ESPiN radio this morning. They were looking at the rest of the Titans schedule trying to point out potential losses. When they got to the Texans on the schedule "Fat" Mike (Golic) went with the default answer of "win" then Greeny bascially said..."Hey wait a minute...if you are going to watch any team in that division watch out for the Texans".

It was real quick recognition, but nice to hear all the same.

FWIW...for my son Vince's fantasy team, the majority of his players are Texans, and if I'm not mistaken, he's in first place!

THAT says a lot about the production of the players individually. Collectively, the mental aspect is on the mend, and THAT should translate into being more competitive and consequently more wins.
