I have a feeling Reliant is going to be explosive. Not Saints back in Superdome explosive, but you catch my drift...

Pretty generic thread I know. ;)

:fans:

Whoever is going to this game needs to cheer their butts off like there's no tomorrow. This is going to sound lame but its up to the 12th mens to help the Texans, especially their gutter-like defense. Be loud, be proud, be a Texans! (I should make commercial for this team right?)

I think you're right....
IF . . .
Houston can come out and take the lead
Play better than they have ever played
not make stupid mistakes
coaches show they are worth something
etc. . . But if some of these things happen it will be explosive. Fans at reliant have a way of not being excited when the Texans are losing. probably why its hardly ever loud.

This is the longest (besides the Saints) that a team has had to play away from their actual home (not having a home game in a different stadium). It's going to be loud as hell.

I will be there, just like every home game. I will scream defence until I nearly puke, just like every home game before. Maybe y'all should come too.

I hope so. . .

I am wondering if a bunch of people wont even bother to show up, given our "lack luster" start of the season we've had.

I hope that isn't the case, I hope every seat is full.

We're 0-3, and based on the frustration on this board of DIE HARD Texans fans, I think its safe to say that there are going to be plenty of people choosing tv over live

The Bills and 1 other team had to open up Oct. 9th following the September 11th tragedy. Butttt that shouldn't change anything. I'm going to be there, and I plan on leaving with no voice. :yahoo:

I think the turnout will be fine. We start to forget the losses come this time of the week and start getting our hopes up again. ts been a very long time since we have last played a home game. Not to mention its the Colts and Manning and this weather is fricking beautiful.

I'm sure there will be plenty of colts fan as well, it's the season opener, people will be there, why not ***** amongst your peers instead of on this board

I agree. I have been in a bad football mood all week but I went from thinking about giving my tickets to a Colts fan at work to thinking about getting a blue jersey for the game.

I will be watching to make sure !! Don't let me see you slack off either !!

I do have to make the exception if the Colts go up 21-0 in the first quarter. Yelling and screaming would seem pointless. ;)

I believe in the Texas so much this week, I picked up Schaub from waivers and he's starting on my FFB team. If he does well, he may become my permanent starter. So there's extra incentive for him with this game, obviously. Ya hear that, Matt?!

I hope you guys keep it loud, It might be tough with the roof open though. I'll be yelling from in front of my tv, hopefully just until halftime due to the fact we blow out the colts by the end of the first half!

One of the loudest moments ever, was the '03 game against the Inbreds of Uranus (aka Titans). Texans led 24-20 with seconds to go in the game. Inbreds had the ball 4th and 10 at the Texans 23. As the Inbreds came to the line, I don't think I've ever heard Reliant Stadium louder, and I've been to every game. So loud that I actually gave thought to the decibels going in my ears, which I've never done before or since. Not even the Cowboy game where it was mighty loud there too. And the roof was open.

Of course Marcus Coleman proceeded to plant his foot in the end zone and the Inbreds score the winning TD on the play. But if that open roof game wasn't the loudest it's ever been, it's in the top 2 or 3.

Hope it's not too hot. Remember that Steelers game all too well. I'm in the sunny end zone.

Well I just hope that everyone stays in their seats throughout the game. I pay good money for my tickets and I want to be able to watch the game. And one more thing... can you please not scream (it hurts my ears!!!)

signed,
TOO MANY PEOPLE AT RELIANT

You can always watch in the A/C comfort of your home or local watering hole. This is Texas. It gets hot. If you don't like it I'm sure that a couple CFL teams can use some more support.

You only say that because you don't drink at the games, DB.
I, on the other hand, have no such restriction.
Just watch me, and I'll show you how it's done.
Watch and learn my soberly friend... watch and learn...

I'll be there standing, yelling and getting yelled at as usual. If we go down early, the life will be sucked out of that stadium - as in, here we go again.

I'll be sitting on the sunny end of the field too, on the 10 yd. line. I think the temperature prediction is 89 or 90. It's gonna get a little warm.

Good point, my man, good point! :beerfunnel::toast2::drunk: go team go!
