Good signing for the organization as a whole. Leadership added, but there are definitely risks taken for such an experienced player signed. Is it the typical aged veteran player signing a fat contract to get paid that won't get fulfilled? Or will he perform at the level we expect? Time will only tell.

Still one of the best in the league and this move changes the entire complexion of the defense if he can stay healthy. Paying for his leadership as much as his skill. Now let's go get a veteran ILB to pair with Cushing and a decent NT.

Again, we've been heavily investing in defense. Our offensive stars, other than AJ who was already on the team, Duane Brown, whom they took their time finding, & Ben Tate, who hasn't really paid off the way they'd hoped.... we were going to have to find value players that we could develop.

OD, a 4th rounder, Chris Myers cost us a 6th, Arian Foster was undrafted.....

We simply couldn't find a value player that could outplay KW. JJ didn't work, LeStar can't stay healthy, Dickerson didn't work out, Andre Davis didn't work out, Moulds didn't work out. Posey tore his achilles.

It sucks that we didn't draft Victor Cruz, it sucks that Kubiak won't give a rookie like T Y Hilton that kind of an opportunity, but it is what it is.

Well, our DBs have one or two years to soak every bit of football knowledge out of one of the best ever.

Reed will show, by example, how to prepare for a game. I imagine none of our guys have seen what he will model for them.
