Nice little segment.

I think LZ has the right approach on this. We're not just drafting for need, we're drafting for cap relief. The main objective over the next two years is re-signing Watt and Cushing. That absolutely has to be taken into account for this draft. For that reason, we may see a TE and DE in rounds 1 and 2 in order to get OD and Antonio off the books.

cap smack, both are under contract for less than market value given production. Schaub is the one who will hurt cap situation more than both Ninja & Owen combined.

Think Harris has a flip. Hunter will grade out higher on Texan board than Jesse Williams who may still be there in 2nd? He has less than ideal arm length & less sand in his pants than I like from a nose. He also had a medical exclusion from the combine (his right knee) so think his grade is more aligned as late 2nd early 3rd.

What does that have to do with clearing cap space for Cushing and Watt next year?

McClain sure was whining for a wr in the 1st round. He just doesn't have the connections with the Texans that he did with the Oilers. Its tearing him up.

Pretty much how I felt about Schaub's contract this year. It's going to hurt more than anyone else's. Thing is least OD and Ninja lived up to their end this past year and were highly productive in their roles. Still wouldn't surprise me to see one of them traded or cut next year though.
