If we can stop making critical penalties and dumb penalties (manning offsides, automatic hold on what seems like every kickoff or punt) plus convert the fgs into tds I like our chances. D played much better but we probably need to score in the 30s to beat NE.

Yes, those were the two glaring deficiencies in this game -- penalties and red zone execution. Those made a lopsided statistical victory way too close on the scoreboard. There's no way you can do that against teams like the Pats or the Broncos and expect to win, let alone on the road. As it turns out, we barely survived it at home against the Bengals.

Also the penalty on posey was weak, I have never seen an offensive player called for something as weak as that in a critical situation. That could have cost us big time! The refs are ruining the game. Let them play!

I only remember one call on a return thismweek. Probably a season best.

As for the call omitted Posey that was defensive PI. How can a WR push off when his hands aren't even in front of time?

Agree with you both. Those areas HAVE to improve. And I'd like the defense to start playing the 1st guy hold 'em, next guy strip the ball game more often.

We make N.E. turn the ball over and keep the running game going - to keep Brady on the sideline - we have a decent shot.
