I think Schaub should have stayed with the origional "NC" approach. Not that I disagree with him because I know what he says is true, but because the NFL is basically a small community and his remarks may come back to haunt him.

Schaub only added all that other stuff when Vandermeer asked him to expound. Vandy couldn't let it go at a simple "No". |

No harm in that. I think you're making more of it than what's there. That's my gig, so stop trying to copy me. I think we all wanted to hear Matt Schaub explain his feelings, even if it was a bit of a tangent question to begin with. I personally liked hearing him say negative things about Suh. I mean, Suh is trying to straight up injure every QB he faces no matter what...so it's not like this awakened some sleeping giant in Suh or anything. Matt is making sure he's on record as being very anti-Suh. He downplayed the two hits he received in the Broncos game. But with Suh, there's that Albert Haynesworth factor that I am sure just really irritates Schaub. So he got to vent a little, and that's fine. At least he vented now and not during the game, in the moment. Which, from the quotes I read, Matt said he intentionally moved on from that incident for the benefit of the team. Now that there's down time, I think it's more than OK for this to be discussed.

Until it's 4th down in the AFC Championship game and Suh decides to be a tough guy and gets you a 15 yards hankie and lets a drive extend. Then you would want him gone. That's the kind of player e is. Uncontrollable.

They were talking among themselves about whether they'd take Suh on their teams... It was just a conversation, not some sinister plot to stir up drama. Of course they want interesting dialogue...That's their job |

ProFootballTalk just reported that Suh recently received a fourth traffic ticket within a year. Somebody pulls a link for me; I don't know how to do it from my phone.

Suh is universally hated around the league and has been voted the most disliked player by his peers for 2 straight years.

It's quite unfortunate too. This dude could be one of the most dominant Dlinemen in the NFL if he wanted. Honestly, I used to enjoy the heck out of the way he played the game up until the "stomp". One of the dirtiest and deliberate things I've ever seen in a game. To make things worse, he denied doing it.
Hopefully he can get some help and get his mind right. Otherwise, he can disappear from the NFL for all I care.

I don't have a problem with what Schaub said. I liked Suh when he came ou tof college but his actions in the NFL are despicable.

The correlation between his traffic issues and on the field actions is not a coincidence. On top of that he is a crappy driver that probably thinks he is a pro driver.

Just to clarify, It looks like he was issued one traffic ticket, while one is pending.
He was not ticketed in the "minor" accident in Detroit. He was not ticketed in Portland, but is being sued by a witness who was in his car during the accident. He didn't hit any car, just a light pole, a drinking fountain, and a tree - probably by gunning his car too quickly from a start and just lost control of his car. In the 911 call, Suh claimed that everybody is fine. But one passenger claimed that she was injured and sued him. The other passenger seems to support that claim. No details on the amended police report yet, and I believe the case is still pending. |

The only problem I have with Schaub's comments is the potential for "Texans Worthy" to become some sort of battle cry for the other team. The Texans are 10-1 and every opponent is gunning for us already, they don't need more incentive.
I will say that Schaub's comments are essentially correct. The Texans don't hire people who are unstable or glory hounds in any way, shape, form or fashion. Let's face it, drama sells newspapers and we don't get very much press because we don't have drama queens like Tony Romo, Michael Vick or Richie Incognito. While I think Suh has the potential to be a major force in the NFL, he doesn't fit the mold of a Texans player. |

I'm over it. So what's going on with the Titans? Any concerns or worries?

This is exactly what's going to happen. Detoilet will get tired of Suh and the controversy he brings so they'll trade him and he'll either go to some well meaning organization that thinks they can channel his anger and fix him or to someone like Bud Adams who wants his team to "toughen up". Hell, he'll probably bring Jim Schwartz back when he's fired too.

The dude is so low-key, so hip to the ways of being a standup person...I mean, he's the antidote to drama...that I think people are golf clapping his statement all over the league. Well, maybe not in Detroit they're not. But still.
