My oh my. How very Jack Del Rio of you to suggest that.

That's actually a great idea. It would succeed ONE TIME, though. I think the opposing coach wouldn't fall for it twice.

Game is always on in our extended family, no matter which household. The parade is on and then the games. That's the way it's been for the longest time.

We usually eat around 2.

But I am the cook and the Texans are on, I just need to make sure everything is ready to go before the game and just have to turn on the stove at the appropriate times.

Good thing is I can just pause the game while I am in the kitchen.

There are some funny posts in this thread. And OMG do I ever miss my turkey fryer right about now!

I'm on the road for the first time ever during Thanksgiving so I will be scrounging to find some kind of turkey. For me, though, kickoff will be at 1:30 AM, so the only food conflict will be which leftovers to eat...

We always have Thanksgiving with son's in-laws who aren't football fans. This year we are staying home. Son thought I made up the game so I wouldn't have to attend. Told him I try not to make up an excuse that is easily checked that is a lie.

I'm thinkin' of getting some tv trays. Otherwise - after the game will be time enough to eat.

I'm somewhat confused here I guess. Are there actually Texans fans who will miss the game, or any part of it, to eat? I mean, you are eating in a house with a tv right? I wouldn't give a damn what anyone in the house thought, I would be watching the game. Especially if your are in your own home. And if I went to someone else's house I would lay the ground rules that at 11:30 am the Texans are on or I ain't coming. I actually did that with Aggies game before.
