Being physically unable to perform may have meant that he actually couldn't physically perform and for some people that means weight gain so maybe.

He wouldn't have been allowed to practice even on a limited basis until he was removed from the list.

A player who begins the regular season on the PUP list must sit out his team’s first six games. After that point, a team has three weeks to start having the player practice; once the player begins practicing, the team has another three weeks to put the player on the active roster. If the player is not activated by that time, or if he does not begin practicing within that three week window, he must remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the season.”

I wish they would put a gimpy, slowed down, out of shape player out there on the field against us. There is no way he can provide any type of significant impact this soon and with as little preparation as he'll have. Its almost a disaster waiting to happen if they try to rush him back. That said, PLEASE PUT HIM OUT THERE! Duane Brown dominated a healthy Suggs. It won't be any better if he plays Sunday.

If they play him and he gets carted off, the whole organization should be under investigated by the NFL.

I'm not afraid of Suggs. I AM afraid he's going to ruin himself with unhealthy expectations. That said, the Ravens "should" be smart an make him inactive, if they have character.

This isn't a sore wrist. This is not a tight hamstring. This is an ACHILLES problem, arguably one of the worst injuries a player can sustain.

It would be utterly irresponsible of the Ravens to let him decide if he can play or not. And I smell a lawsuit by Suggs against the Ravens, way into the future, if the Ravens don't wise up here. They have to do the smart thing. Period.

Just a additional thought I wanted to offer. Suggs' Achilles tear was partial, not complete. This could account for why they may feel a little more comfortable in bringing him along a little sooner. However, the statements I made in BOLD above concerning a possible return on Sunday still stand.

Keep in mind that his supposed "practice" yesterday was not a contact practice. The Raven Wednesday practices are "walk throughs." I'm sure glad to see that Suggs looked good out there.......and came out of it unscathed.

I don't need to hear or see any insider reports to know that. Not trying to be a wise ass, but GP had it right in his earlier post. It would be simply irresponsible to run a player out there so soon with an injury like that.

I like Suggs as a competitor and would hate to see the guy get hurt trying to rush back for a Week 7 game. Their goal should be trying to win the division first and they still have 4 division matchups left. It's amazing that the guy is already well enough to practice on a limited basis, but all this hype of putting him out there Sunday is foolishness in my view. Give the guy a realistic chance to get out there and be effective. Trying to get in him shape during games especially this early would only be to the team's detriment.
