Jerruh trades up in this draft to get Manziel. Modern day Bud Adams move when we draft Clowney

His deep balls are money though...
He didn't hit the receivers in stride in many of his deeper throws from the pocket, but it wasn't anything to really complain about.

He looked good. Can def make all the throws. Good job Johnny.

I hope not. Can you imagine the ****storm if we end up losing to Dallas later in the season?

Default Re: Manziel

real quick, seemed like scripted 10 sets within 6 throws each set. one drop on receiver, crossing route over middle should have been caught, the other to same receiver but to be fair low & away. sweaty, gritty, gamer with best leadership qualities in class. short throws concise, accurate w/quick release (imagine him throwing to Arian Foster out of the backfield) mid range spot on as well, can roll to his right or left & hit the out pattern. puts a lot of air under the ball on deep routes a thing of beauty & clearly his NFL calling card. good banter w/teammates, unquestioned leader. I'd give him a solid A

We joke about the JFF/Cowboys but it sets up EXACTLY like 2006 when the Texans had the first pick.

06: Local boy is wanted by fans, VY. Texans draft freakish athlete on defensive line, Mario. Bud Adams drafts VY to stick it in Houstons face

14: Local boy is wanted by fans, JFF. Texans draft freakish athlete on defensive line, Clowney. Jerruh draft JFF to stick it in Houstons face,

Deja Vu like a mother!

If JFF was three inches taller, he'd be the consensus No. 1 pick. Good showing for him.

So, I guess i am hoping for JF, Bridgewater, or Clowney in this draft.

Jerruh is 10-times the owner than Adams was, plus he already has a top-10 QB. Jerruh may be a self-important meddler, but he cares about winning above anything else.

I doubt Jerry gives a crap about Houston fans. Probably more Cowboys fans here than Texans fans.

You guys are fools if you still bash the guy after that showing. That was extremely impressive, he did something very few, if any, QBs have ever done by throwing in pads at his pro day, his deep balls were phenomenal, he proved he has much better arm strength than most give him credit for (and better than both Bortles and Bridgewater), and then tack on the leadership abilities as well.

And the guys still mentioning his "character issues". Well where the hell are you on Jameis Winston's character issues? He flipping raped a chick! Or what about Clowney who coasted through this entire last year and ended up with a whopping 3 sacks?

Manziel at 1. Period.

You can repeat it all you want, but Manziel is twice the player VY was. He's smarter, has a stronger arm, is more accurate, has better pocket presence, better vision, is faster, and is shiftier. The only thing VY has on Manziel is size. You people are blinded by ignorance.

Jerruh will take every opportunity he can get to rub anything in Houstons face. remember the damn red checkerboard comments?

He is already openly enamored with Manziel and I would NOT put it past him
