Here we are...yet still no respect.

Here we are...yet no one takes us seriously.

Here we are...they say we have had an easy schedule.

People don't even see us as a threat, say we get lucky wins. My father still sends me cowboys bs cause he never thinks of our team as a real team. He thinks I will wake up one day and put on the romo jersey that I roasted on the BBQ grill.

I remember working part time board operating at a local sports talk station in Amarillo, Tx in 2002. My duties that night were to broadcast in the cowboys/Texans game. I was an oilers fan before but couldn't go with the titans (just wasn't the same) and the rest of the house was cowboys fans. I listened with enthusiasm as the Texans beat the cowboys and I was reborn a Texan. Years later I joined the Marines and moved to California. I still live here, but I remain a Texan. I am all alone out here as it goes for football, but I will never stop being a Texan. People may say what they want, we could lose the rest of our games this season and the first playoff game, and lose every game for the next twenty years...but we will always be TEXANS!!

Played on my 10th birthday. Lifelong fan. For what it's worth, Texans scored 42 on the SB champions.
