I guess we were undeterred by those surgeries. I wonder if'n he's not a stop-gap for this season only....??

I did some deep digging and have confirmed that, on the good side, the last back surgery that Harris underwent at the end of the 2011 preseason was a minimally invasive procedure......microdiscectomy, not a formal open laminectomy or fusion. At least, on its surface, this could be interpreted as a better sign. But then, you have to question why a procedure that if successful normally allows a patient back to heavy lifting and return to sports in 4-6 weeks......led to him never returning......and had been worked out twice by the desperate-for-OT Vikings the end of October 2011.......and bypassed after his second evaluation led to a failed physical..........almost 10 weeks following his last surgery. This seems to mirror cases like Peyton Manning, who also underwent minimally invasive procedures with little clinical or on-the-field performance improvement just prior to finally giving up the ghost and undergoing the appropriate major open procedure.

It will be great if Harris is able to help us out, even on a limited basis......or better yet, turn out to be a bulwark of our O-line. But it should surprise no one if Harris is helped off the field on any given Sunday.

I myself am a La-Z Boy GM/coach. Couch's are for people that want to share space, I am not into that ****. Plus, when I mess up (which is a frequent occurrence), I am too comfortable to give a ****.
