Most noteworthy is McClain's tweet saying that Brown and Barwin contracts are being considered by Texans...and that, according to John McClain (I know, I know...sigh), the Texans would like to sign at least one of them before season begins.

Maybe I'm off-base here, but I feel like these two guys will be relatively easy sells. They have both embraced the community more so than your average guy. Barwin, for instance, is heavily involved in the Houston subculture, active in things such as the art car parade and Summer Fest.

Brown, too, was at Summer Fest (back stage with Snoop), and I saw him at the July 4th festival in The Woodlands decked out in a Rockets shirt and Astros cap.

I almost feel like Smith would have to insult these guys not to bring them back.

Demeco and Winston did the same, and look what happened! RS could care less if he insulted these guys!!

Winston and Ryans were also on the downturns of their careers. Smith just locked up Brown. To you he may be the worst gm, but to everyone else, he is doing a great job.
