I saw this happen multiple times in certain games and I'm sure these contributed to the high number of hurries in a big way.
Very possible...... I'm more worried about the actual number of hits that he takes. That Raiders game was brutal for him in the 2nd half, and then having to play in Baltimore the following week didn't help one bit. He was kept upright most of the time from what I can remember other than those 2 games save a couple of sacks here and there in the other games.

The pressure on Schaub had more to do with a) Schaub's lack of mobility and b) Schaub holding the ball trying to make a play downfield. Schaub led NFL QBs in yards per completion (13.9). Big plays downfield are great, but Schaub needs to take the underneath stuff a little more often to reduce the hits.

Which calls into question the numbers put forth by Profootball Focus. Remember, these are fans charting the games off of TV replays. Not game tape. With the NFL offering coaches tape to fans this season, maybe the evaluations improve. But, it's still subjective without the knowledge of what a lineman's assignments are on a given play.

Default What Shaub needs

Do you know what Schaub needs?

I know some of us are completely satisfied with what they've seen from Schaub so far. Others not so much.

What I am thinking, is that Schaub needs a signature move... kinda like Cam Newton's Superman, or Aaron Rodgers "Discount Double Check"

He's got one.

Granted, it might need some work... maybe run it by some focus groups...

Just set up a rascal in each endzone. When he scores a TD he can ride it around with his crazy eyes bugging out like a mad man.

Not complaining, because he's good and everybody can't have one of those, but he's not. It's not his fault either; he just doesn't have an arm like those guys. To me, Matt Schaub is kinda like Peyton Manning, but with a lazer, spaghetti arm, LOL.
I dont disagree with this post .... No , Schaub isnt a Brees , Manning or Brady.

Like you state , not every team can have one of those guy's. My point is that because he's not in that elite class of QB ..... Some fans are ready to move on in favor of the flavor of the week.

There are probably a dozen (maybe more) franchises that wish they had Schaub under center ....

This is what happens when you have no deep threat (AJ out) and a great running game. Doubt we see this again, assuming our offense stays healthy. Or we'll see a bunch of AJ in the end zone.
