Football Outsiders - 2011 Pressure Plays, Defense

For the second year in a row, no defense pressured opposing quarterbacks as frequently as the Texans did. The fact that Houston repeated despite missing Mario Williams for most of the season is a testament to Wade Phillips and their pass-rushing depth: Four front-seven defenders not named Mario had at least 20 hurries and five hits on opposing quarterbacks.

What are Antonio Smith's pressure stats over his career?

To me, he's the inverse of Jared Allen. Our best disruptor. It will be critical to watch Crick this preseason because while Jamison is turning into a beast, it will take at least two guys performing at a very high level consistently to replace the ninja's production.
