Schaub did have 5 carries for 19 yards against Atlanta back in 2007. That may be the game he was talking about. He had a long carry of 12 that game. Wasn't quite 18 yards though.

Schaub's longest rush for the Texans was a 19 yard play against Indy in 2009. He had a 23 yard rush in Atlanta.

I believe what I stated was his longest rush as a Texan was 19 yards in 2009 against Indy. I didn't mention the Atlanta game.

7 4th qtr comebacks, 10 game winning drives.

The above shows wins only.

The two below account for Schaub's play regardless of the defense, running back fumbles/interceptions and coaching blunders.

No. That was schaubs first year here. I remember it was a big deal since he was going back to play atl. That's was the year of the mike vick thing. Joey Harrington was their qb..... And somehow joey freakin harrington torched us. Smith kept sending obvious heavy blitzes and harrington would find someone wideopen underneath. Repeatedly

Schaub running for 12 yards? Damn, that defense must've been swiss cheese. It takes Schaub about 5 minutes to run a yard.

Key word to me is "lead" and I do not consider Schaub much of a leader. Seriously doubt he can, but then again I seriously doubt he will ever take another regular season snap for the Texans. We will see.

Well I posted the box score and rushing stats for Schaub that game. Like I said his longest rush was 12 yards. Not bad for HIM though.

Look, you have made your dislike for Schaub well known and that is fine. But this constant haranguing on him is now reflecting much more on you than on him. Every single player, coach, commentator who has seen him up close has said the guy is a leader. Give it a rest for your own sake. You act as if your saying enough negative things on a MB is going to tilt the decision making by the Texans. JMO.

I do believe Schaub shares a lot of qualities with Chandler. Answer to the "Title" question depends on a lot of things...

Maybe he never makes it, or maybe he makes it a couple times and wins both of them. I hope it's the latter.

Guess it depends on what your personal perception of leadership is.

I don't really want to know what coaches or players or whoever says about Matt. Chances are many on his team who say he is a good leader, it may be because he leaves them alone when they screw-up. To them that may be a sign of a leader letting the player make mistakes and learn from them on their own. To me it isn't leadership.

My personal perception is that based on the skills I look for in a leader (and I have to hire them all the time ... but obviously not for professional sports) that Schaub is not the type I would personally put up there as a good leader. Does that mean that someone else may consider him a good leader? Of course they may. Many prefer quiet leadership, more of a lead by example type thing, whereas I tend to lean toward the more vocal and animated leaders who lead both by example, and putting a foot in your ass when you need it.

Just one mans opinion.
