NFL Fan from Costa Rican: First NFL Game

Hi, Im from Costa Rica, and Im planning to visit USA, well, Houston on October 14th, for the Packers game.

Im looking for a couple of nice seats in Reliant. I checked on Ebay and Stubhub but I see high prices even for the 600´s (more than $200)

I know that now I have to pay a little more for any ticket, but it seems that for this game I have to pay a LOT more for any seat.

So if anyone could tell me were can I get nice price tickets for this game, please help me. I dont know which its the best way to get this

Asking face value (or a little more)... for a Sunday night game.... against the Packers.

You may hit that trifecta as it gets closer to game day when someone needs to unload them, but right now sellers are gonna throw something out there and see if they get a nibble.

Keep an eye on this board as well. Some usually try to unload their tix the week of.

But it also depends what colors you're wearing to the game.

I am a BIG craigslist user. I buy LOTS of stuff from there. That being said... I would avoid craigslist considering the fact that you're a foreigner. The potential for scam is just too great via craigslist. I would just check this site often and wait for the tickets to pop up and they WILL. Either way, the Green Bay game is going to cost you. It's probably our most premiere game this season.

Remember these are the packers, Packer fans pay huge amounts for away seats because well, they are owners of the team

I visited Costa Rica 2 years ago on our honeymoon. We had a great time! I want to go back.

I would wait until the last few days before the game when people start getting desperate to unload tickets. The only thing working against you is the Packers fans will be in attendance in force, which means more tickets will be purchased. But I still think you can find some good seats the last couple days before the game.

Ok, so Im going to be very carefull if I use Craiglist.

They are selling me a couple of tickets in section 632, row D on $400 for both (not a Craiglist seller), expensive but less than other ridiculous prices for that section

What do you think? Or its better to wait until days before? Theres another problem, I arrive to HOU the day of the game at noon, so it makes me scare wait untill that day in afternoon to pick the tickets if I wait till the week before to purchase.

600's are basically the top sections of the stadium. See the green sections and the gray with pink outline sections in the image below? Face value cant be more than $50-$70 per ticket. So I would say you are overpaying a little bit. You also have to factor in a parking pass to park your car at the stadium parking lots, which are roughly $25-$50 per pass.

I still think you should wait until the game gets closer before you buy. Hell, im sure someone on this board wouldnt mind brokering a good deal for you.

I understand your concern about waiting too long but give it some time as season does not start for months. You should get better deal and I am hoping someone here can help you.

Maybe. I would advise against that as you will want to enjoy the pre-game experience. Not worrying if you can find tickets in time. I think you should have tickets in hand the day before.

There will be plenty of guys selling tickets a few blocks from the stadium on Holly Hall. Have no idea how much.
