I don't see him signing, yet. But I'd love to have him.

super happy about theses guys. This just makes an already good draft even better. All three of these guys were draftable.

Well, I hope Dwight Jones understands the reasons why he didn't get drafted. You can't be a knucklehead at both the Senior Bowl and at the Combine without being red-flagged as a character risk. I don't see him making it here.

I'm loving these signings. DJ has more talent than the guys we drafted in the 3rd and 4th. Hopefully TJ Yates will be working with him starting tomorrow on what he can expect from the NFL and what the Texans will expect from DJ. I'm loving the Fangupo signing as well, it's time we had some size at NT. I really hope both of these guys make the roster.

Fangupo played the 5 tech spot mainly at BYU according to reports I've been reading. Given how raw they say he is, he might end up on the PS to develop for a while.

Concerned about Dwight Jones lack of route tree development. I thought UNC ran a fairly sophisticated system, what does that say about Jones ability to learn?

Okay, help me make sense of this, or show me the error of my ways.

I'm an SEC guy. Love the play. And since 2010 (at least) one of the biggest standout Free Safeties, in all the NCAA, Tremain Thomas, Arkansas, not only went undrafted, but didn't get picked up as a UDFA either?

Tremain Thomas - 6'0", 204lbs, 4.51-40 (unofficial 4.45), 38.5" vert,

2010 - 83 tackles, 4 INTs, 5 Passes Defended

2011 - 92 tackles, 5 INTs, 6 Passes Defended

Those are NFL numbers any FS would be proud of.

Quote:
2010: Started all 13 games, named second-team All-SEC by the AP. Led team with four interceptions and was credited with 83 tackles, 5.0 for loss with 0.5 sacks, five pass breakups, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and one blocked field goal. Named to Bronko Nagurski Trophy Watch List after being selected as the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for his performance vs. Texas A&M. He also earned Jim Thorpe Defensive Back of the Week and SEC Defensive Player of the Week recognition for his performance against the Aggies, which included seven tackles, 0.5 for loss, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup and an interception in the end zone on the final play of Arkansasí 24-17 victory.
Quote:
01/06/12 - PLAYERS TO WATCH: FS Tramain Thomas led the Razorbacks in interceptions with five, tied for second-most in the SEC with Vanderbilt's Casey Hayward behind LSU's Morris Claiborne's six. - The Sports Xchange
Quote:
12/07/11 - 2011 ASSOCIATED PRESS ALL-SEC FOOTBALL HONORABLE MENTION: Tramain Thomas, S, Arkansas, 6-0, 204, Sr., has been selected All-SEC Conference Honorable Mention for the 2011 college football season as voted on by The Associated Press. Thomas has five interceptions during the 2011 season, which is tied for third in the SEC and 10th nationally. Thomas had a pair of interceptions in the Razorbacks' 38-14 win against Auburn on Oct. 8. Thomas has also made 87 tackles on the season, which is second on the team. For his career, Thomas has intercepted 12 passes, which is tied for third on UA's all-time career interceptions list. - Arkansas football

He's not just "my guy" - but I've never seen this happen to a player of this quality in all my years of watching the college and preping for the draft. There's not even any character issues.

Delano Johnson, Bowie State

40 Yrd Dash: 4.91
20 Yrd Dash: 2.82
10 Yrd Dash: 1.69 225 Lb. Bench Reps: 18
Vertical Jump: 34 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'02"

The scouting reports I saw of him, said he can't tackle and isn't physical. That could hurt a prospect as a safety....

Never seen him play though so only passing on my best guess.

Reading reports on Meggett leave me less excited than some of you seem to be. I read that he is indecisive and struggles to read the play and make decisions. Not sure that equals a one cut and go runner.

I'm excited to see grimes. He looks like he could be really good for us.

I need to check the other rb out.

I'm kind of upset we didn't get Diehl. That was my guy.

Even less out there for Logan Brock. A TE that didn't get many chances to catch the ball, decent blocker reportedly. Smells of camp body.

Not much on DJ Bryant. Found this...

College2Pro.com Perspective

OLB-DE tweener. Very athletic. Penchant to get up field. Quickness, speed and burst to be very effective edge rusher. Extremely high motor and intense. Has big, strong hands and long arms and can use his hands. Best suited to be a pass-rushing linebacker in a Steelers-type-3-4 scheme. Will get look due to his size, effort and smarts.
