I heard the guy shut it down his senior year because he didn't want to get injured before going pro. Then he suxored in his Combine and pro day performances. Word is that he interviewed badly, too.

This article will explain it all. Sounds like he had a long, slow, self-annihilating meltdown.

January 3 was his surgery date. Stating the he is recovering slower than expected is a strange statement unless he has suffered an overt late complication. The soonest you would expect "recovery" is 3 months, and many players, depending on the extent of the microfracture area, a recovery of 1 year (if he is able to recover at all) would not be surprising.

I wouldn't dream of arguing with you about something like that, Doc.

Really wanted us to grab Ryan Van Bergen (DE, Michigan) but Carolina made him the first UDFA signed.

Would like to see us target Case Keenum (QB, Houston), Chris Polk (RB, Washington), and either George Bryan (TE, NC State) or Kevin Koger (TE, Michigan). We could also take a look at Chad Diehl (FB, Clemson).

Little birdie (not twitter) told me that the Texans have signed Philip Supernaw, TE Ouachita Baptist, as a UDFA. Supernaw is out of Katy Taylor.

Thank you so much for the information! What are the chances he doesn't recover?

Not really Texans material as it stands now.
it seems like one thing Kubes does well is getting people to fall in line. Not in a NE way but in a I am giving you a chance kinda way.

sent from way too close to Dallas....

Add in Supernaw, and we are getting a pretty good crop. I think the kid from Merrimack will surprise some people.

Good report on Desmond Marrow.

Loiseau is a good special teams pick, I put him in one of my mocks.

Menkin looks interesting. I did not do my small school scouting as much this year, so I have no film coverage on him. But his workout numbers sound promising. Strong dude, not the most athletic so probably being looked at at OG.
