Absolutely love it.

From everything I've read (mainly what's posted here, lol) he was the best kicker out there.

Special teams and field position wins and loses games. I'm glad we have an (apparently) rock solid kicker to go with. Hopefully he becomes our Jason Hanson.

Seriously? NFL teams inform each other of the players they want to draft? Put the fantasy draft board away. The Texans needed a kicker and took the best one with one of their last two picks. Other teams grabbed kickers and punters before the Texan's next pick was up. Just because you think it was a reach doesn't make it true. Just saying.

2 other kickers were drafted early in the 6th.
Bullock was the best kicker on the board so it was worth a late 5th to get the best kicker in the draft.

There's no way he was a reach. He wasn't going to be available at our next pick. There were two more kickers taken within the next 15 picks. One of those teams might well have taken him.

So this was a good pick made at exactly the right time.

Yeah, Rick told me they did. He said he called up Ozzie Newsome and said, "Dude. Are you going to take Randy Bullock with your next pick?"

Ozzie Newsome replied, "Yeah. We're planning on taking him and then a guy named Nick Mondek in the 6th. Why?"
