Your not going to find a harder worker than Crick. He is solid vs. run and pass, not an OMG rusher but he will be on assignment busting his a$$ to the whistle for four quarters.

It would hard to understand why they would consider him at NT with his innate problem with double teams, and universally reported lack of athleticism even at a lighter weight.

Exactly. You have to just look back on last year and realize the impact disruptive player have (there's that word again). Even someone like me who's a novice in football technicality when compared to some of you all, I understand high motor because I've seen what it can do the opposing offense. This defense is going to like a horde of relentless zombies coming after you in waves and you only have a freaking baseball bat to fight them off. Eventually, your bat will break and you will be devoured by the horde! With the Cerberus we're building at outside linebacker (Barwin, Reed, and Mercilus), The Cush in the middle, and the Relentless Zombie Horde in the d-line we're going to be like super horror flick for the opposing offense!!! I'm a little pumped you can tell right?

I'm starting to get tired of all this "high motor" talk. I think it's becoming one of the most over-used descriptors that it's becoming cliche.

Antonio Smith is a high motor guy who we're paying $8M to this year. He's not worth $8M. I love the guy, glad he's on our team, but he doesn't finish. Mario finishes, & I'd rather have 5 finishers on the line than 5 high motor guys who don't finish.


Antonio Smith, Travis Johnson, Amobi Okoye, Jason Babin those are all high motor guys who did not finish & our defense suffered because of it.

JJ Watt, Demeco Ryans, Brian Cushing...... high motor guys who finished.

Jared Crick is a high motor guy, that's great. Let's hope he can finish in the pros like he did at the college level.
