SW H-Town Final Mock Draft

[SW H-TOWN]

1. Jonathan Martin OT Stanford - Good fit in our system and could fall to us on draft day. Some are saying he needs to gain strength and Mike Adams is climbing up draft boards.

2. Brandon Thompson, DT, Clemson - Perfect fit for our system.

3. Brian Quick, WR, Appalachian State - I think that he will be available in the early 3rd because he did not tear it up at the Senior Bowl.

4. Demario Davis, OLB, Arkansas State - Guy is a stud. Last thing I wrote about him got posted on his Facebook fan page, hilarious.

4. Greg Childs, WR, Arkansas - I predict he falls to us because of his injury and horrible senior year (due to the injury).

5. Trevor Guyton, DE, California - Good DL depth and solid production in college.

6. Randy Bullock, K, Texas A&M - Last time I checked we needed a kicker.

7. Adam Gettis, G, Iowa - Developmental prospect with upside.

If you listened to DeMeco, H-Town is unheralded, so too is this mock but solid in regards to professional talent.

Not my guys except Quick & Bullock but could be a very good draft. Enjoyed the read.

Sorry if it came off as bragging I was just really surprised. Imagine if you write something about a guy for a mock draft and you are a not a writer and it ends up on the guys fan page. A lot of people write a lot of things about NFL prospects so I am still surprised that it ended up on the board. I asked my friend how the hell did he get a hold of that and my friend said, "aliens man, aliens." That really made me laugh. Guess somebody sent it to him, it was a really weird. I did not send or post it so when I saw it I was like WTF. I wrote him a message and told him that I wrote that and to check out texanstalk.com did not get a reply. Hope you half way liked my mock. What would you change?

I love this draft. Except I don't know who Demario Davis is.......lol...I'll be sure to read up on him though, the rest of your picks seem spot on. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they picked up Adam Gettis from Iowa as a guy to develop as OG or even OC behind Myers. Martin is a good choice and Thompson a good follow up pick. Couple receivers, a kicker and some more depth. Nicely done.

Did you watch the Senior Bowl? He was a late addition & shined. sometimes a little out of control but probably just excited to be there? 3rd-4th rd. grade so H-Town has him slotted perfectly.

The guy plays really fast, vicious tackler, takes good angles, super strong and athletic, and scores a 10+++ on all intangibles. He also has a lot of upside and when put in a pro workout regimen I believe he will put on a a good amount of solid muscle. He also has long arms and a great first step. He comes from a small school so he is raw and plays out of control at times. When you watch him you will notice that he plays very very fast, has a nose for the ball, and will just unload on a guy if given half a chance. Some of the hits this guy dishes out are really really nasty. I was hesitant at listing him at 3-4 OLB because I did not see him use any pass rush moves in college. What made me comfortable mocking him as a 3-4 olb was this article, just what I needed to hear. Does not hurt that he can play ILB too.

He showcased some power when trying to work the bull rush, could dip his pad level around the edge and had some “know how” working his hands in order to shed. He’s one of the NFP’s favorites and is off to a solid start so far this week. (National Football Post).

I think he could play inside or outside. similar size to Sharpton, instinctive, tough not afraid to put his hat on people.

Seems to be the type that will do well in Phillips system. Power is a plus but I like speed getting past the defenders to disrupt the QB.
