Don't want to limit to just him as AJ, Cushing, Duane Brown have developed into great players. Who will we be talking about after the next draft? Who do you see us taking that could be the next Superman? Make your choice based on more than just a possiblity; no RG3s dropping but based on our current selections. Realistic trade downs could provide interesting conversation. Also, it does not have to be a rookie wonder like Watt but a Foster type or someone that will be forced to play behind starter for year or so but will explode onto field with an opportunity to start.
I'm going with late round selection Chad Diehl monster full back. He is one demensional if doing one thing (blocking) perfectly is that. I think he starts his first season.

There are many players that I think could fit this list but one that I really like is Brandon Thompson-DT. I think he could work in rotation with Cody for a year learning our system and the NFL and then take over in the 2013 season because Cody will be a FA in 2013. It's a way for the team to save money which we'll need to do because next years offseason will probably be worse than this one and we'll need to decide who to let walk and who to promote in their place. I could also add Fletcher Cox-DT to this list. I think he'd be another Watt if we were to cut Antonio Smith, thus saving some money, and Cox could play the 5 tech. or be the penetrating NT we're looking for. I think both of these guys have stud potential. Kevin Zietler-OG is another guy that I think could be a very long time starter for us. You don't hear OG's names very often but I think he could anchor the inside of our line for years to come.

KENDALL REYES!!!!
whoever gets this guy is going to be SOOOO happy. Mark my words, people will look back at this draft and say why wasn't this guy taken earlier. will be one of the better players from this draft. However the texans want take him as we would have to use our 1st rounder on him. For a texans player ill say....Curry from Marshall we have a chance of getting him seen as there are so many OLB prospects one of them has to drop. |

I know this, when he does pull he almost always gets a solid block. Most guards don't do well in one on ones at the combine. Don't get me wrong he is not agile like the Pouncey twins were but he's no frankenstien either. He is a road grader in the run game. He may very well fit a team like the Steelers better but I don't think he would have a problem fitting in our ZB scheme either. I really like Zeitler and mitchell schwartz. I would love to see us trade down with our first and somehow get both of these guys. Maybe a trade with Miami? If Tannehill or Weeden are sitting there at 26 I could see it. #42 (480) and #73 (225) for #26 (700) 2nd 42 (480), Kevin Zeitler OG Wisconsin 2nd 58 (320), Mitchell Schwartz OT California 3rd 73 (225), Greg Childs WR Arkansas 3rd 77 (205), Mike Martin DT Michigan We don't know if Butler can hold up or not so drafting Schwartz would be a nice backup plan. Better than hoping Newton can fill in. Zeitler could end up starting at RG or at the very least replace Smith next year as I see him getting the ax if he plays like he did last year. Wow I went off on a tangent there didn't I? sorry! With all these cuts, trades and losses in FA I'm all over the board. |

There's a mid round DE I just picked up on, I think his name is Jack Crawford? Anyway, he's almost Watt-sized and athletic but needs some coaching.
