I've noticed that. I have a new era Astros cap and like Hou-Tex said, it only looks normal wearing backwards. Hopefully they offer the new Texans cap with a normal or lower crown.

I need to replace my old Texans one.

They do sell the athentic (on field) ones at Lids also, those are the ones I buy usually cuz they fit me better.

I have a couple, but they're the stretch fit type which give me headaches. I guess I'm just a picky sumbitch when it comes to ball caps. Ha.

It was my understanding that those uniforms that were put out a while back were not done by Nike but by a fan that created what he felt they should look like. I wouldn't get my hopes up, or be disappointed until I saw something official from Nike or the NFL specifically like the cleats and gloves. (Which I think look ****ing awesome!)

As far as the Nike contract goes, I don't think there will be any drastic uni changes. The NFL and its teams control all that. The true change will be in materials and the manufacturer logo.

Actually with the transition to Nike now is the perfect time. If a player changes numbers in the middle of the contract with the designer they must buy out whatever inventory is left of that players merchandise. With Reebok going out and Nike coming in, no inventory to buy out.

I'm more stressed about how they are going to play versus how they look. I was extremely hopeful for this past season and injuries really effed us in the long run. I'm carefully optimistic about next season, as long as they don't come out playing naked, I'd be fine with whatever the team decided to wear.
