Ha ha true. But I am very anxious to see how good we will be next year and I think the most of our fans here share the same feeling. I am looking forward to 2012 draft, FA, TC, Preseason, Regular season, Post season and so on.

Go Texans!!!

IF Matt Schaub can stay healthy.....

I don't know about you guys but that's a little too "iffy" for me. We really gonna count on Schaub's health?

Before this past year, Schaub hadn't missed a start since 2008. One week he was sick and 3 other weeks, that dirty ass Jared Allen hit him low twice and ****ed up his knee. Schaub is the king undisputed king of the freak injury that's not his fault.

I seriously doubt it.

I love the season we've had & I appreciate everything everyone of the guys on this team has left on the field.

But they're soft.

The Baltimore game epitomizes that. We were clearly the most talented team on the field..... just like we were the last 3 years. We clearly mopped their stadium with their collective asses...

Yet we didn't get the win.

Yeah, I'm just kidding....

100% correct.

This year, there were two stories that were much more compelling than the Houston Texans.

Tim Tebow & the San Francisco 49ers..... not to mention the Detroit Lions, the Oakland Raiders, & the Buffalo Bills early in the season.

We're still the girl that leaves them standing at the alter.... they've picked us to win for a long time & it's never happened. I remember when they called Carr, DD, & Andre our "triplets"

There will be another Cinderella; Seattle, Miami, Cleveland...... somebody.

10. The Houston Texans will represent the AFC in Super Bowl XLVII.

If Matt Schaub didnít go down with a foot injury with six games left in the 2011 season, the Texans may have made it to Indianapolis for this yearís big game. Houston will return all of their key components and they have a talented, young roster. Playing behind perhaps the best offensive line in the game, the Texans will keep Schaub upright with no more quarterback sneaks and they will have an extended playoff run next year.

What if the Patriots pull a Houston Texans and sign some key defensive free agents and have a good defensive draft? If they get defense I think they will be the favorite.

Just like most teams if we all lose our QB's we're pretty much screwed for the rest of the season. You might be able to still make the playoffs if your team is good all around, but unless you find the next Kurt Warner or Tom Brady by accident and by luck you're screwed. Yates wasn't ever going to take us anywhere.
And unlike Flynn and Daniels, Yates was not expected to step in for the star QB. He was the third string, inactive for the first 10 games of the season.

Completely erroneous analysis. Leinart was our Flynn/Daniels. And for the ONE quarter that he played before going out for the season, He looked like he was comfortably stepping in for Schaub.

As a further point, Daniels made 5 pass attempts this season and has only 8 attempts in his two years in the league. Flynn only had 5 pass attempts outside of the one crazy game against the Lions, and over four years as a backup has almost the exact same career stats that Yates got in six games this season. Yates, as a third stringer, had a MUCH larger body of work to be critiqued than either of these two. We KNOW what Yates is capable of, but everything about Flynn and Daniels is pure speculation.

Leinart looked comfortable in that quarter?

That's the last word I would use. Leinart was awful.

17 points in the first 22 minutes of the game against a top 5 (at the time) defense.

Yeah, that's pretty awful

YPC of what, 5 yards a completion?

Maybe it was playcalling. Maybe it was playcalling because the dude can barely throw.

Perhaps you should go back and watch the two TDs we scored. 7 out of 8 plays on the drive that ended in the Foster TD were rushes. The one Leinart pass was to Casey for 5 yards. The second TD, we started at Jacksonville's 26 yard line. Leinart through a pass for 6 yards, and a pass for 20 yards to Dreesen. Leinart dropped back like 8 yards on that play action. Almost got sacked if he didn't get rid of it. Gee, riveting. And on the drive we ended up with a FG, Leinart threw an incompletion, a pass for -2 yards, and luckily Rackers nailed one from 53. Too bad Rackers couldn't do that this past Sunday.

If you came away thinking that just because we scored 17 points, that Matt Leinart was looking good....then I don't know what to tell you.

So he ran the game plan that Kubiak wanted him to run. Heavy on the rush, conservative on the pass.

10/13 with a TD pass. No sacks. No interceptions. 110.0 passer rating. And 17 points before the half.

Yep, I would call that an epic fail.

But "OH OH OH! On that one play he made a mistake and on the other play he didn't look good while doing something positive!!!!1!!!1!"

When you're trying to find something to complain about, you always will.

When Leinart took over for Matt, we said all he has to do is not cost us any games. 17 points in the first half, that game was looking just like the games Matt won in Tennessee & Tampa bay where he didn't throw for 200 yards, yet we still scored 30 points.

I don't care if he throws the ball 100 yards in the air one time or if he throws it 20 times at 5 yards a clip. The point is to score more points than your opponents & you're helping your defense if you put together a 20 play drive.

It's about the team, team wins. Leinart's decisions in that game, though boring, were the right decisions since they led to scores & no turnovers.

If New England beats Baltimore, they'll be the clear favorite next year.

If Baltimore beats New England, we'll be "one of the" favorites next year.

Good health permitting, Houston should be the clear-cut favorites in the AFC entering next year. I don't think it matters what happens the rest of the playoffs. I've got the Giants beating the Patriots in the Super Bowl for what it's worth.

Yeah, in one half of football lol. That **** wasn't going to work for the rest of the season, I don't care what anyone says. Thank God we were playing Jacksonville. Any team that actually has an offense and we'd have to come up with some miracle **** to stay in it offensively.

Jacksonville was a top 5 defense at the time. They finished the season ranked 6th. In one half, we scored 17 points with Matt Leinart. What does their lack of offense have to do with that? We spotted them 7 points in that game...

Who knows how Leinart would have played his second, third, and future games. Could have gotten better with each passing game, could have got worse..... but what's the point of crying about it?
