because I cant seem to find any 1 talking about the game.

First playoff game featuring two rookie QBs since 1970? Check
Two teams that have backed in to the playoffs? Check

Pitt v Den, NO v Det, and Atl v NYG all have some compelling interest and at least one true superbowl contender.

Unfortunately no one expects us or Cincy to make it to the big game, and therefore we take the lowest priority.

Remember when everyone was complaining about bandwagon fans? Well bandwagon fans get you ratings. ESPN is a business and they show what people want. Cincy + Houston is not the largest of markets.

If we win our first game, we'll get a lot more coverage going in to Baltimore. But the majority of the talk will be about Baltimore

I love this team as much as everyone else here does, but losing to the Panthers at home in embarrassing fashion and then becoming the first 10 win team to lost to a 1 win team in NFL history is backing in. Don't try to tell me we weren't trying, because we could have had the #1 seed or at least gotten a 1st round bye. And with all the injuries, that would have been huge.

I know we could have taken the Titans, but when you're on a 3 game losing streak, you're not going to get a lot of media time

Backing in = 2006 Chiefs. Faltered down the stretch and STILL made the playoffs.

Backing into the playoffs is what the Jets did in 2009. Clinching the division in week 14 isn't backing in.

"Backing into the playoffs" would have been the Texans during the 9-7 season when we needed the Bengals (iirc) to lose that night to make the cut.

The majority of division winners do not "back into the playoffs". Division winners EARN a playoff home game, especially if it's wrapped up by week 14.

I think the only way a division winner could be considered backing into the playoff would be the Broncos, who lose their last game, but, due to other teams losing they get the division.

They just did a whole segment on us. I really don't think they are passing us by, the other games are just more interesting (i'll be watching the 3 other games for sure.) if we had Schaub and Mario though I think we'd be getting a lot more hype.
