As far as that Atlanta game, this game was a lot more comparable to the Jacksonville game. The cuffs were put back on and if you're going to put the cuffs on then pull Yates. It amazes me at how weak a coach can be to hand the ball off on 3rd and long or anything past 1 or 2 yards. I just can't fathom that unless you're inside the 5 yard line or something like that. That was what bothered me more than anything when Kubiak first got here in his first two seasons. He always played not to lose and would handcuff Carr/Schaub/Sage when he had everything to gain, because the Texans weren't even supposed to be winning a lot back then. I never understood why he coached like that. This is the same situation now where you'd think that from a logical standpoint that he'd let TJ air it out to see what he has and to play balls out since we're expected to struggle on offense any way with the rookie.

This is also the same mind set from a coach that can't make himself watch the last plays of close games because it's to traumatic for him. People can brush that kind of stuff off all the time, but it speaks about the guy's character as being soft and lacking toughness and confidence when you can't even watch your team play and you're the damn head coach.

Oh and don't feel the need to go out of your way and make excuses for him...afterall he's the man who said he's not going to change the game plan and he just needs to get Yates ready (and then he changed the game plan and his butthole puckered up against a 1-13 team). LOL, he also said "it's on him" ... So don't feel the need to make excuses for Mr. Turtle ****

coincedence...I think not. Conservative Kubes has coached the last two games like they were already in the bag....and he's lost them both. We basically took the ball out of Yates' hands the same we we took the ball out of his hands during the Jags game that he was forced into relief.

I think it depends on how the game is going. Matt was 11-15 in a win against the Bucs.

The Bucs couldn't stop any runs at all....Arian AND Tate went off. The Colts were actually able to stop Tate. Also with Matt in there, the playbook was wide open against the Bucs...it wasn't open during this game.

Was the playbook fully open to capitalize off that performance and did Tate also go off? The Colts stuffed the hell out of the run when they needed to...unlike the TB game where every run was picking up plus yardage, the majority of the yards he were able to get last night came off just a couple of big plays...the running game last night was misleading, it doesn't even compare to what we did to Tampa. The TB and Colts games aren't really comparable just due to the fact that the play calling was totally different and the rushing production was also different. I'm pretty sure scared Gary isn't going to ask Schaub to hand it off on 3rd and 8.
